How about its open, but in addition to 24 different teams, we go 2 players max per decade

2000, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 00, pre 00

2 per decade, all different teams. Even wide open will be different. No cap necessary

I second this idea... Only question is what will the rules be on decade played and what team they represent...

Will it be rookie year for decade and 5 years per team for team representative like we have done in the past??

Yes whenever the player first made an appearance that resulted in a stat. 1/3 inning pitched or 1 plate appearance, that will be their eligibility year.

5 Years is good with baseball so yes player must have played with team for 5 seasons.

I changed it to 3 per decade to eliminate alot of players being picked by teams that no longer exist and leading us down an ugly road.

Winner of the Wildcard game will pick their 1st round opponent.
