Or, with 9 teams, 2 teams play a wildcard game to cut it to 8. I volunteer to play on the WC game and challenge anyone to come party with me

Mets have scored 73 runs in their last 7 games... With that staff they could be dangerous come playoff if they keep hitting. It has been against Colorado and Philadelphia but still impressive.

I've read through everything, and a few thoughts... First, glad to see UK and Ritzy back, hope for more to return as well... The more teams the harder it is to stack... Second, voting is pretty tricky, simply because everybody has a right to feel how they feel... I agree with Milk in that discussion is the only way to get people to see what you were trying to do... They still might not agree but at least the draftee and those who oppose him can see the other side... And so I think there should be some sort of explaination to why you voted a certain way... I know it's asking people to put some time into each vote, but I feel it's worth it to all involved since people are putting so much time into each team... I feel voting should take a day so people have time to evaluate each team... I know once somebody loses they want to go on to the next one however, this is where common courtesy comes into play... It may take a little longer but I think it's appropriate in that as much as it's all about the joy, everybody wants to win... Lastly, to get us to 8 either we drop the excess via a 1 team list of the weakest team... The person who's team gets the most votes as the weakest is out... If it's 10, you drop 2 and so on...those voted out don't vote unless there is a tie... In the event that there is more than 1 person, they alternate as the tie breaker vote... Go by abc order to see who would vote first... Or we do the same process and have a play in for the extra teams to make it to 8... That's all I got...

I don't like just eliminating 1 or 2 teams before we even have a game, those people spent time drafting a team and to never even have a chance is wrong IMO.

I'm with Nos, I'd rather play an extra game and at least have a chance to match up....how about if we do the WC game, not only does the winner get to pick his 2nd round opponent(an advantage), but the loser of the WC game is the tiebreaker vote the rest of the way instead of using a list?

How about its open, but in addition to 24 different teams, we go 2 players max per decade

2000, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 00, pre 00

2 per decade, all different teams. Even wide open will be different. No cap necessary

We did do a decades draft back in January, Smitty won that one. I don't see why we can't do another one.

Hopefully everyone is good with that.

The one we did in January we did not have to select our players from 24 different teams so that will add a new wrinkle.
