A good start scoring a run on shallow fly ball. The Mets CF has a noodle for an arm.

Pollock gets his 100th hit! Goldy and Dee Gordon are the only other players with 100 hits.

Anderson has not looked good in last few starts. He is constantly falling behind batters & giving up HRs.

I stopped watching the stream after the first & decided to watch the USMNT shit the bed vs Haiti in the Gold Cup. :tsk:

It's nice when a pitcher beats you with his arm and his bat....

This team is going nowhere unless it trades for an ace. Could care less who you have to give up at this point. Just get a damn ace. The main player I would not trade is Robbie Ray. Then after that I would not give up De La Rosa and Bradley. Anybody else is fair game. However, do not give up a ton for a rental you will lose after this season unless you work out an extension before the trade.

The difference between being a team hovering around .500 and a contender is a dominant ace. If the Diamondbacks are in a one game wild card playoff, who the hell are they going to send to the mound? I have no idea. There is not one proven guy on this team you can give the ball to and feel confident you will have a great chance to win. Until they have that, like I said, the team is going nowhere. And the organization is wasting an MVP season from Goldschmidt along the way.

They need more than an Ace. I'd trade for one though if he was a guy that wasn't a rental. This team is a Hamels and a Cashner away.

Awful starting pitching this series so far. Just horrible. Three guys who the team relies on and not one quality start.

hopefully this garbage weekend is a huge wakeup call to the front office that they are nowhere near ready to compete. Was fearing they would throw away more prospects in some feable effort to compete for second WC spot this season

I think behind closed doors they are happy as pigs in poop that they got to the break without being 20 games under .500. I don't see them making a major move, maybe something small to make it look like their trying. They've been lucky to see a lot of their wins come earlier in the year (compared to last year), but I'm sure we will see low 70s for wins.

It's exhausting seeing this team do "just enough to get by" in front office standards. Stewart needs to get his head out of his ass, unless Kendrick is tying him down. I don't even know anymore.
