When I read an article about this trade, I had to reread the name of the guy we got to make sure that it wasn't Hunter Strickland.

The whole situation was absurd. Harper hit a HR off the guy, didn’t showboat, and Hunter went ballistic. He then carried that anger for over 2 years. That isn’t defensible.

Catching depth is now down to Jackson Reetz and Blake Sabol in AAA. Good news is both of them also play the outfield.

The quality of his DFAs has risen above where other teams don’t care about them. That is actually a pretty good problem to have. No one wanting our cast-offs is a symptom of a worse situation than all our cast-offs getting gobbled up.

I will say that the grabs are fewer and the let goes are getting picked up more often. A good sign indeed.

Jax should be back in a week or so...he started a rehab assignment yesterday

Cobb hit a minor setback but his imaging came back clean and he should be back in early May.

So Cobb will be out til June, and White steps into a Junis type role. FZ likely familiar with him from the doyers, so there's that.

I believe he's the only guy on the 40 with a ring.

So the Giants decided to add White at the expense of Roupp. Seems like a great move.

While I don’t understand the acquisition of White, I don’t have a prob with sending Roupp down. He is a true asset, who was likely rushed to the bigs. Let him take what he learned and fine tune in Sacto for a couple months.

That is true regarding Roupp. I didn't really understand why he was on the roster. Sanchez, Jefferies or Howard made more sense. But White?

I suspect he is just churn.

But FZ does love him his BA boys.
