I hate spelling his name and sorry if I butchered it up. Anyway, he is moving into Briere's home. Sounds to me he is a lock to stay. Furthermore, I like that he will continue to gel with Briere and Giroux. Briere is a really good guy. Basically inviting a young teammate into his home to stay so he feels comfortable.

Haha I saw this and the first thing I thought was 'oh man look at that spelling'

Couturier. But I bet coots ends up being his nickname. Or cooter but that could lead down a bad road haha

Agree that it's a good thing moving in with briere. Did a lot for G last year I think

Makes perfect sense. He'll have a fellow french Canadian to converse with.
IMO Briere will keep him in line.I don't forsee some tabloid shit saying that they,ve been bar hopping or such.

Coots works for me. If he was playing somewhere like Dallas, Cooter would work. Lol. Reminds me of the old "Dukes of Hazard." very neckish. Guu, gu, gu, cooter. Lmao.

I know Giroux lived with him last year, but is he still? This kid could be learning from the best.

Giroux moved out and has his new pad in Camden I believe. I love having this new French Connection.

Pretty cool that DB has done this....plus his kids think its super cool. They prob miss G over there! Lucky brats. I'm sure that the lessons learned are invaluable...better than learning how to pound the bottle and breaking your foot. ; ) I'm fucking sooooo happy that Carts isn't here right now...man o man.

having carter gone is just pure bliss.. 5 games in columbus and 0 goals and a broken foot. nothing new here. columbus better get used to those kinds of numbers/injuries.
couturier/voracek is already better than carter and couturier's 18 and already has more defensive prowess than carter ever could. and i can't wait to watch a number 17 in the playoffs whos actually trying to contribute and do something of significance

Carter really blew it. He had the perfect job for his ability with this team. A pure goal scorer on a team that had good depth across the board. (5-6) 20 goal guys, another 30 goal guy in Briere and then Carter for 35-45 goals. All he had to do was show some defensive responsibility and be there in the post season. Such a waste. Look for Columbus to trade him as he does not fit in well there at all.

I honestly feel bad for the guy but at the same time I'm happy that the Flyers don't have to deal with that anymore. Guaranteed that #17 will do more in this years playoffs than Carts ever did.

Couturier/Voracek > Carts The scale would break at this point.

how can you feel bad for the guy? he was given all the opportunities in the world and never fulfilled his potential here.

I hear ya but I wouldn't wish that many broken bones to my worst enemy plus at heart the guys ok I'd throw back a few beers with him any day. For the most part I was just super frustrated at his horrible playoffs and luck when things were on the line.

Still ecstatic that they have Couturier and Voracek for him though....the trade just keeps looking better and better. Too bad Richie had to go but ah well Simmonds has been fantastic just need to see some Schenn!!!!!
