I'm curious to hear dollar amounts and how off they are. I understand wanting a pay bump but what are we talking here? Is Lou totally short changing him here or is the agent being over the top with his demands? I think bringing in Kabarle is an eff you move to tha agent.

Reading it over the agent comes off like a complete schmuck. Gelinas was good but he played one year. He made $600K last year, bump it up to $900K for 2 seasons and then get your big payday at 25when you've proven your worth and are entering your prime. If he's expecting $2 million a year he's being a dick.

If they signed their #4 overall pick Adam Larsson who has played more than twice as many games as Gelly to a 1 yr 900k deal, there's no way that Gelly is going to get much more than that. Now, I get it Gelinas was a powerplay force. He was literally the best dman on the PP in the NHL last season in terms of point production / 60 minutes played of PP time. So I get it, he's trying to strong arm Lou, which Lou obviously won't cave to. However, I would definitely give Gelly up to $1.5M/ for 2
