IIRC, the last time tOSU lost the 2nd game of the year it worked out pretty well for them.
The season after losing to Clemson in their bowl game, and after a close, uninspiring opening win against a less talented opponent, they were beaten by 2 scores on their home field the 2nd game of the year.

This would be 2014 and 2017.

Was listening to the experts on the local sports talk radio last week, and they commented on how Ohio State, in the Indiana game, how Wilson looked like he was running an up tempo Urban Meyer offense instead of a Kevin Wilson Offense.

Maybe Urban just needs to let Wilson do his thing.

Yep, congrats to OU and their fans. That was a thorough asskicking, hopefully it wakes us up. Mayfield is friggin awesome and if you guys make the CFP, this Bucknut will be pulling for you to get that trophy

No question, we were outplayed last nigh in the second half. I've been saying for some time Barrett is simply not a championship QB, and last night undoubtedly proved that. Congrats to Oklahoma on a hell of a win.

You were outplayed in the first half too. We just kept shooting ourselves in the foot.

Hey @ least Ohio State looked better than OK running onto the field before the game started. Can I call that a moral victory?

Our gameplan was horrible from the start. Dobbins getting 12 carries despite playing well was frustrating to say the least. They went back to last year's gameplan with JT getting 18 carries while we relied on him to win with his arm, which clearly isn't going to win us many games. Just a horrible plan altogether. Dobbins and Weber both looked great but only got 16 combined carries. Had they used them to control the tempo like they should've, things would've been different.

So
Was that a Kevin Wilson thing or an Urban Meyer thing???

I've honestly got no idea. It's not the first time it's happened, that's for sure. Just like 2015 Michigan State when Zeke barely touched the ball. Whoever it is, I just hope they see how stupid it is to rely on Barrett to do anything but run with the ball.

Honestly he didn't do too bad on the short stuff.

Maybe Barrett just doesn't have that drive anymore. He seems emotionless during games, but I think he's always been that way, maybe not.

He doesn't look like he's "leading" his team, if that makes any sense.

He's a great leader by all accounts, but once you get him on the field, it's just a different story. He had a tremendous amount of confidence his RS Freshman year, but after 2015 when Cardale started the year as the starter, he hasn't been the same. It's almost impossible to think he has more progression in his game left. He's a 5th year senior. It's time for a change, though.

The impressive thing for me in this game is Ohio State still had some success running the ball with the option/zone read. They use this to set up the play action dual crossing routes and get their speedy receivers the ball and dare your linebackers or DB's to run with them. It's how Barrett ended up with 300 yards passing against Indiana because they absolutely gashed them with this. Oklahoma's defense completely shut this down. I'll have to go back and watch to see how they did it, but this is where I was worried we'd get gashed and it was never a factor.

That was a thorough thwacking administered by the Sooners.

Nice win for OU, they seem to be on a pretty straight path to run the table now.

Really excited about the outcome. Was a bit of a weird game in that, no disrespect to tOSU fans but your team didn't put up a fight like I thought they would. You all, walloped the crap out of us last year but this year it was the opposite and not as a competitive game as I thought it would be.

Your offense looked like there really was no game plan and any success you had it seemed to be crap luck plays as opposed to a strategy. And as for the all world d-line for the most part, they weren't a large factor.

Hey Baker,
I think that's turf and not grass, so that's probably not going to work.
He needs to start acting like he's "been there before". This dramatic shit is ok when you've hoisted the crystal ball, but we're way too early in the season to be making statements.

But, that's just Baker.

Just curious...but has Riley said anything about the antics?

We'll hear something from the weekly presser today I'm sure. Barry Trammel will grill Lincoln about it trying to get some clickbait material.
