Don't think people are realizing, Colt was an phenomenal athlete, but he really couldn't remember a play. There is a reason a great athlete like Colt was getting passed up by Freshman Mundt and Sophmore Brown.

Oregon destroy both Tennessee and Colorado without Colt, and Colt didn't even do much at all this season anyways.

Really? Interesting since ive never heard of any te coming out of oregon at all.. they are such a power house defense and all.. Stanford, ND, Mich st, and Tenn had the top 5 TEs available for the 2013 draft.. so who were Oregon's TE again?

None last year that I know of. But I can think of two draftees they had in the last five years. I don't think they're a te powerhouse though

Colt seems to have had enough of Oregon. Reason? Not given. Anyone know why? Maybe it was the suspension earlier in the year. Said hes not going to transfer but go for a professional career.

I hear NFL GM's are always looking for TE's who had 0 catches and 2 Drops in their last game...then quit the team halfway through the season. Man, if he only had a substance abuse problem...he'd be 1st rounder...

While I agree he was a talented athlete, he will be lucky to get an FA tryout with that baggage.

Another of Chips recruits who were athletically gifted, but drug addicts and special ed students rejected by by even SEC schools because of their behavior issues. Now with the terms of the NCAA sanctions, Oregon can't risk having the longest yard rosters that Kelly did to succeed. Got to lay low for a while and clean it up a bit.

Lyerla will be lucky with his rep to be a UDFA next year. Maybe Chip will use a 7th on him.

Classes started up in Eugene last week and Colt didn't like attending them. He is 6' 5", 250 lbs. He will impress at the combine with his vertical leap of 62".

Another TE from Oregon who got tired of school in his Jr. year was Russ Francis. I recall he did well with the Patriots.

Russ was also the 16th pick in the draft...Colt couldn't sniff that if you spotted him 200 draft spots.

OregonDucks has a serious boy crush on Colt Lyerla. Including claims he was the best TE in the country 2012 and 2013. Would back up this claim with a YouTube video of him doing a box jump. Alas it was a doomed romance.
