There is Tony, always quick to blame others but never takes the blame when it is his fault.

This one was obviously not his fault. While he was wrong to place all the blame on Stenhouse, there was no way he had anything to do with causing that.

I agree Tony had no where to go on this wreck, but when he does cause wrecks, he never sacks up and accepts responsibility.

The rain has come and my boy Almirola is leading with 47 to go. Maybe the 43 will be back in victory lane today. That would be cool.

Yeah, he sometimes opens his mouth about things until I'm sure he sees the replays. There has been instances where he has taken fault. But I think most drivers are usually the same way. The drivers get interviewed when they are still angry and haven't had time to cool off to see what really happened.

Wonders never cease. The 43 returns to victory lane at Daytona for the first time since 1981. And somebody other than Richard Petty was driving it. It was a cheesy way of getting a victory but I guess it is going to rain into tomorrow and NASCAR called the race. I'll take it and the King, who left early, might have turned around.Amirola earns himself a spot in the chase. Unfreakinbelieveable!!

Good run for Danica. She was right in the middle of big wrecks and managed to make it through clean. If she wouldn't have missed her pit, I'd imagine she would have been battling for the lead right before the final caution came out.

The race is called

At what point will it have stopped raining? If it was going to stop before 7 PM, there was no reason to call this race. If it was going to rain past 7pm, then it takes 2-3 hours to dry the track and the race wouldn't have restarted until 10 pm.

Yea Oxy, forecasters indicated rain till tomorrow so they had no other option but to call it. Daytona does have all the amenities to run into the night but drivers start getting pretty punchy and it just starts backing things up for next week in New Hampshire. So the race was called.

Yeah if it was raining non stop without a significant break they had to call it because you gotta remember it takes quite a while to dry the track and they would've needed close to an hour to finish the final 50 laps or so

I was surprised and disappointed Tony was so quick to blame Stenhouse.

After watching the replay, Bobby Labonte drove from the middle to the outside line in front of Stenhouse and really jammed things up, so Stenhouse got a bit loose and mayhem ensued. Product of racing at Daytona.

And now the really big one

What a mess that was! Took out half the field.

Good thing Jr was in the back.....No he's up to 10th

Jr lucked out big time today..

They made the right call. I just looked at the radar and it's still raining. The weather has been shit all week at Daytona, just call it and move on to New Hampshire. Besides, I liked seeing a new winner with the #43.

I don't even know why I bothered watching. Plate racing is shit anyway and today is prime example why. There was like 15 cars left and they still had a good chunk to go. If they ran more, maybe they would have all piled up and whoever walks across the finish line with the steering wheel is declared the winner. The racing gods did everyone a favor by opening up the clouds to put a stop to that shitshow.

Hell, at least with the tandem racing every single car didn't get torn up.

I did my usual NASCAR spectating. Watch the start and the first 20 laps, go do something else like take a nap, then comeback for the last 30 laps.
