Your right. With guys like Weavet and Santana around there is no way that CJ is the Angels Number 1 Pitcher. That also means to me there is no way the Angels give Wilson the money He and His Agent are asking for. Not for someone who will be maybe their Number 3 Starter. Of course of both Hollsnd and Harrison discover the Aces within themselves CJ won't be the Rangers #1 Pitcher for Long either. I expect the Price to drop as bargaining continues unless somebody is really insane.

have you ever seen the Angels not willing to eat the money necessary to bring someone in? to hurt us and drag us down in a way that makes it easier for them to get by us they will spend the money to bring him in. they will figure that us losing CJ will cost us at least 6-7 games from last year's total (from 96 down to 89-90) and adding him to their roster will add 6-7 games to their total (from 86 to 92-93). and they probably are figuring that those numbers could be even larger.

Not when they've stated that they're done adding big contracts, but that being said I could see CJ as one of thus help us and hurt them moves that they'd be willing to make

Weaver, Haren, Wilson, Santana, Whoever steps up

Adrian Beltre, last offseason. Much needed, didn't want to pay him.

How many games did 130 million for GMJ and Torri Hunter add to their win totals? How much are they paying for Vernon Wells to hit .220? Everybody said that LA's starting 5 was head and shoulders above ours last year and they finished 10 games behind us. Relax and stop trying to predict the future. It's not your forte.

I think the Angels definitely make CJ a good solid offer. They could really use a quality lefty in their rotation. By signing him they make the Rangers pitching weaker. His stuff is just fine and their park will make his already eye popping numbers even better. Not to mention how having CJ would benefit them on the road in stadiums like the Rangers park or Yankee stadium. No, they need the guy in their rotation. He could split up Weaver and Haren and really give them 4 horses in that rotation.

CJ would be good for LAA.

After all, he sucks in the post season and they don't get there anymore...so no worries for them.

That still depends on whatever moves the Rangers make. If they sign a closer then maybe another starter or even add Fielder that changes the Ballgame.

I don't agree with the whole "take away __ wins from us and give __ wins to them" argument. Nobody knows how anyone will pitch or hit next year. I wouldn't be surprised if CJ doesn't match his 2011 numbers either.
