I read somewhere that the Mets should move Travis from behind the plate if they want him to last. Gonna post when I find it...

They were talking about doing that a yr or 2 ago as I recall. Not sure who they have in the pipeline down on the farm, or if they're even anywhere close to big league readiness. I'll look into that.
It is something that warrants a certain amount of concern.....and they'd be wise to address it and have a backup plan for the long haul before Plawecki also gets too banged up to play regularly.

*So far the plan B seems to be Rene Rivera, who got called up last week when Rafael Montero was sent down.
Mets sign catcher Rene Rivera to minor league deal

Yeah, behind Plawecki there isn't any other young guys. He's better defensively than Travis but he hasn't really hit well yet. Mets fans are spoiled in re hard-hitting catchers, going back to Todd Hundley, then Piazza...but honestly I'd rather have a good defensive guy back there. The offense seems to be covered right now.

Here are the Mets top prospects that I could find....
The lone catcher on that list is ranked #15....Ali Sanchez

DeAza leads off the Mets 1st w/ a single and moves to 2nd on DW's sac fly....

Cincy gives the run right back...2 base error on the LFer off the bat of Duda with 2 outs plates DeAza.

Walker's 2 out rbi knock scores Duda to give the Mets a 2-1 lead....end of 1.

Lousy execution on that sac bunt.

Mets got sloppy on defense again...(walker this time, E-4).

But Harvey wiggles out of bases loaded jam unscathed except for the high pitch count...

Then in the bottom half Walker hits another HR.... to make it 3-1.

(daniel murphy who??.......:D)

Nice, another sweep, and Philly took out Washington again.

Harvey seems to be gradually getting better, strikeouts go up every game...really helps that the offense is knocking guys in.

Reds had a couple of leads in the past two games but just couldn't hold it

we know what that's like....we've had our share of those all too often and then some, over the yrs.
