Game Thread: Christmas Eve- Week 16- New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos

Watched the Chargers last night take the Bills to the wire. I was hoping they’d not fire Staley until after the season ended. We are going to get their best shot next week. And the Raiders loom after that. And tonight, that Pats defense is still very good.

Anyone who thinks this is an easy 3 game stretch to close out the season doesn’t know the NFL.

Dude, the Broncos won a Super Bowl violating the salary cap a.k.a CHEATING. They wouldn’t have even made the playoffs that year without cheating the way they did.

If ever there was a fanbase that should shut their mouths about cheating, it’s Broncos fans.

Well the Falcons took the Colts to the woodshed so that helps. The Texans are getting beat by 2 touchdowns with under 4 to go. That also is helpful. Also we want the Bucs to beat the Jags.

None of which will matter if the Broncos don’t do their part of course.

Chips starting to fall the Broncos way. Gotta love it. I've decided that the Broncos don't just need to win tonight. They need to blow the doors off the Patriots and build some confidence going into the last two games.

Yeah I think a loss in any of the remaining games pretty much finishes off the Broncos playoff hopes. I was in ESPN playoff machine and found a way they get in at 9-8 but that was a couple weeks ago so not sure if that’s still applicable.

If we gave Joe Flaaco what the Browns gave him we’d have a much better result than what we ended up with. Apparently what he needed was a good Offensive coaching staff all along.

The dolphins win helps the Broncos, albeit indirectly. We want the Dolphins to be in a place where they are playing for the #1 seed in the season finale against the Bills. The Dolphins play the Ravens next week, so that’s another one we want them to win.

Game is pretty ugly for Denver outside of a few good plays. That 2nd quarter was ugly.
