Not watching. With football back, there's no time for idiotic point systems. Who was the guy on here keeping track of the points using a reasonable full season method? Let's just pretend that guy's way is correct and crown Jeff Gordon or Dale Jr champ

#2 or #48

Jimmie should be interesting to watch... he is a closer, but hasn't shown that spark in recent weeks. (Team effort of course).

I highlighted another flaw in The Chase system. The way the system works and thus is reported on, you'd think those drivers (Biffle and Newman especially) have ran like shit all year. But if NASCAR would use an actual motorsports point system, you'd see they've had respectable seasons.

well the Chase for the Chumpionship is a joke anyways.

Auto racing has no business having a playoff system. Just another way for Brian France to fuck up the sport I love!

He had his "Can't lose" streak of 3 and then had some terrible luck where tires wouldn't stay on the car and he had a hard time finishing races. Got collected in some wrecks, etc.

He's been finishing lately although not winning.

I'm hoping he gets 7.

I'm going to predict that either Harvick or Logano will win the Championship. Those guys are just on a different level each week and they're not prone to do something stupid to take themselves out of contention, like Keselowski.

I'm happy that Kahne made the chase, but he's most likely out after this week.

Will also be watching Almirola with a lot of interest. Would be sweet to watch that 43 contending up until the end!

Really? Have you seen Harvick's past? Even Harvick fans would admit he can take himself out of a race being a hothead. Hell, there's no way to count the amount of times he's lost focused because he'll go on a 10 minute radio tirade bitching out his pit crew.

Logano has a great shot as does Brad KSki.... these seem to 'always be hovering'. Harvick.... man...I don't get his problems.... he ALSO hovers around.... but doesn't seem to have the same 'car' as early in the season.

I'm a Kasey Kahne fan (Washington dude), but I put some coin on Logano in Vegas back in May (18:1 odds to win it all), so I wouldn't mind seeing 20 bring home the cup.

I am going to keep an eye on the 43. Would love to see the 43 in victory lane and my ultimate fantasy would be to see him win it all for the King who has had a horrific year.

i've been thinking it over, and I've come to like the new playoff system. I just hope that the 48 doesn't win. Anybody but Jimmie.

I have not observed these antics this particular season. He seems to have matured.
