It's a good deal for both sides. His AAV is $16.6 mil with only 20.5 guaranteed, which is the signing bonus & 2015 season. Hopefully Logan develops over that time. If not, it won't be a big deal with a limited investment in him & Palmer still at the helm.

They still need to resign Dan Williams, Kelly, & Cromartie. And possibly Foote, Fanaika, Acho & leach. That likely means that both Fitz & Docket will either need to take a pay cut or will be gone. I could see them saving about $3 mil if they cut Ginn & $3.4 mil if they cut ties with Washington.

If we make a hard playoff push, I could see both fitz and dockett taking one for the team. Resigning Dan Williams is a must! Ginn became expendable after the year smokey has had. I still have no clue what they plan on doing with Washington. I guess we will have to wait until all legal matters have subsided.

It's Fitz. Winning is more important to him than money at this point in his career. He has a sold QB delivering the ball, a good o-line and a solid defense. I would bet money he will take a pay cut especially if they make a playoff run this year.

Great deal for both Cards and Palmer, imo. Give the team time to either allow Thomas to develop or find one that can. Palmer finally gets stability one a good team and can pretty much retire on his terms.

I had a weird feeling about the extension. I thought it was a good value but I didn't like giving it to him during the season.

If it turns out to be an ACL injury, he should be ready to go in 2015. Luckily he wasn't that mobile to begin with & the injury is to his lead left leg. I would be more worried if it was his right push off leg. His arm is all the really matters, if that is healthy, he will have earned his new contract.
