And thats where you are wrong. I think they would be able to do what they are doing now "Not get better" with a dozen QB's in this league and some have upside and will "Improve" with the playing time. Geno is who Geno is, He will not "GROW" or improve the team but you can't say that about a younger QB that improves with time playing. The Hawks are in a unique situation, They have the offensive talent to carry a below average to average QB. Take this advantage and use it for the future good of the team.
We absolutely have to find a rookie in the next draft, which is more difficult now that we dont have a #2.

But right now geno is our qb theres really nothing that can be done about it

I saw this problem coming. Which is why I was all for drafting a QB with the Seahawks first pick last year.

I 100% agree with going after a rookie in next years Draft but don't reach. I have said it a lot, this team has talent and can carry a QB. Find one that they believe can blossom.

I wanted them to grab a guy later that could "learn". O'Connell ( Raiders ) and Tune ( Texans ) I would be fine as our back-up right now. I was Ok with Levis also just not a high pick for him.

Or they could have traded up. Could of traded back also and then draft Levis.

Oh I also forgot Tanner McKee, was fine with him also but like i said in the later rounds. McKee in round 6 would have been great with me, O'Connell Round 5 I would have been fine with Better at 6 though and same with Tune.

Some? He makes a LOT of stupid decisions not just some. He throws into a crowed at least 5 times a game.
Yes but you threw Mayfield out there which ranks right up there on the stupid meter. I get you don't like Geno and I do wish we had a better QB but you lose credibility when you rather have Mayfield.

And you are saying you don't know why? Uhm try only 4 INT's oh and 10 TD but the MAIN reason is because Baker Mayfield at least WANTS to play good, Geno half the time looks like he would rather be at home sleeping. Baker is a more dynamic player. The fact that people think Baker isn't better than Geno just shows that you are a HOMER! it's BLATANT! Yes I would rather of had Mayfield when he costed "Nothing" I wouldn't in a million years trade for him.

Geno Smith / Baker Mayfield Bolded is the better stat
the first 8 are based off this season ( Geno has a better offensive group than Baker )

Completions, 152 / 158
Attempts, .......225 / 246
Percentage, ..67.6 / 64.2
Yards, ..........1,645 / 1,600
Yds/Att ............7.3 / 6.5
TD .........................9 / 10
INT....................... 6 / 4
Sacked .............14 / 11

Career INT% ....3.0 / 2.7
Career TD% ......4.0 / 4.5
Career completed air yards per completion 3.4 / 6.3 ( Geno is captain dink )
2023 Rushing
Attempts........ 20 / 31
Yards................ 49 / 118
Yds/Att........... 2.5 / 3.8
Long................ 15 / 31
20+.................... 0 / 2
TD...................... 0 / 0
Average Snaps per game 61 / 65
Points per 100 snaps 23.5 / 25.5

Like it or not Baker Mayfield is a better QB. He scores more gets sacked less and throws lower Int's and runs better. The real kicker is they both average 2.4 seconds from snap to throw yet Geno RARELY gets off his FIRST READ!

It's the seahawks colored glasses that drives me insane, If Lock was our QB and was playing at the level Geno is right now you ALL would be throwing a fit!

Unfortunately, the guy you wanted is out for the year

He wasn’t my first choice he was who I thought would be available. Got injured a lot but while playing looked pretty good. Stroud would of been my first choice, he should of been the 1.01 pick.

BTW, for anyone that wants to get a pretty detailed breakdown of Geno's play on Sunday, check this out...

Sadly he doesn't engage in any mind reading of what Geno was thinking.

BTW, I'm listening to The Athletic's NFL podcast with Nate Tice and Robert Mays and they are talking about how baffled they are by Seahawks fans who think that our offense is bad.

Think the criticism happens because expectations at the beginning of the season were high for this offense which seems loaded with talent. RBs excellent, WRs excellent, TEs decent to good. OL that looked to be developing. Unfortunately things didn't break well with injuries and under whelming performance from certain players.....

Our offense isn't bad, Not one bet, Geno is. But people like to say it's Bad to protect Geno and deflect. Our REDZONE offense has been AWFUL ever sense Geno became the Starting QB and was the 5th best in the league with Waldron the year BEFORE Geno became the Starting QB.

Ranked #11 on points per game so that's not bad, not really great either, but could be enough if the defense becomes great.

I'm happy you've found a stat to focus on as definitive. Is it Geno's fault that the running game can't get 1 yard?

Marshawn couldn't get a yard, Our Running game is fine it's just UNDER USED! 25th in rushing attempts, 21st in yards ( Lack of attempts ) 11th in Average per rush.

They need to focus more on the running game and this would have a knock on effect of limiting Geno's ability to screw up. Hawks need to be top 10 in Rushing attempts.
