I saw that Williams had 18 points at halftime and then I saw that they won the game. Looking at the box score, he ended up with 24 and only three assists. So good job in scoring, even though he shot 8 for 20. Where are the assists?

Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors - Box Score - April 19, 2014 - ESPN

Brooklyn only made 34 FGs. 16 team assists on 34 FGs is pretty good.

They had a lot of points from the foul line.

It was a lower scoring game.

Deron has never clicked for me in the playoffs. I thought Derek Fisher played better than him in the 1st and 2nd rounds in 2007. And even though Deron played better against the Spurs, that was negated by all of the drives Ginobili had on him.

Nah.

The ESPN ticker kept flashing Deron's stats for the series when he was guarded by Kyle Lowry.

It was bad.

Even Luke Ridnour had a game like tonight's that Deron had. Expectations are higher for Deron. He's supposed to be one of the best. People aren't supposed to be thankful when once in a while he plays like Luke Ridnour.

(I didn't pay as much attention to today's game because it appeared to be a blowout, so I switched to Chicago-Washington. So I missed the near comeback by Toronto).

I wonder if Williams was guarding DeRozan.

Williams hasn't even been one of the best PGs in the playoffs. Conley Jr., Wall, James, Lillard, Curry, Parker, Paul, Teague's game 3, maybe Lowry have been better.

One could mention Walker as a possibility.

Livingston has also been better than Williams (just like Fisher was better than Williams in the 2007 playoffs).

Williams, ORTG, DRTG:

108 111

Livingston, ORTG, DRTG:

123 108

No argument from me, but I'm biased.

13-2.

This is what the Brooklyn PA gets for prompting "Brooklyn, Brooklyn" before the game.

Valanciunas with some nice moves in the 4th.

First was a sweeping hook shot.

2nd was a pick and roll layup.

Lowry drives past Williams and makes a high rainbow floater.

They then show footage of Maple Square Arena, erupting.

Nice to see Toronto get a lot of contributions.

They are the type of team I like to see, in their first year in the playoffs.

A combination of lots of good players, and emerging young ones (Valanciunas).

I know I was there for the 3 games yesterday, but I don't remember much. This wasn't a great memory of playoffs basketball. I don't think I was fully into it.

I think the OKC-MEM was the only game I was into, and even that got away the last 1.5 quarters.

Hopefully today will be better.

The way I see it, is that without Brook Lopez, the Raptors have better big men, and if Lowry can have a two-way game, he is better than Williams.

I'm used to seeing low scoring game 7's.

This is 4 game-7's now that are fairly high scoring.
