Game Thread: Broncos/Bears! Football is back!

So figured go ahead and get this going. I am gone to a conference for the next few days but would love the chance to read people's thoughts on this upcoming game and what they want to see. Or maybe who they are excited to watch.

Now remember Talib, Okung, Miller, Ware, and Sambrailo are for sure sitting out.

For me...

1) Obviously can't get to our first game without being excited/nervous to watch the QB's. Have their struggles been completely they are terrible or is they are going against the best secondary in the NFL day in and day out and they will make even the best QB's look bad? Can one of them really rise up? And then obviously very excited to watch Lynch in action since he is getting a whole half to show what he has got.

2) Safety play. Seems like the position on the defense with the biggest questions at this time at least in the back up spots.

Individual players

Lynch, Bibbs, Latimer, Gotsis, Shane Ray, Doss/Webster, and the 2 punters are some players I am excited to watch much more closely.

Can't wait. Hard to narrow down just one thing for me especially in the PS game. I obviously want to see the DB's and the rookies and who doesn't wanna see the QB's. Ok maybe I could do without watching Sanchez, but hey!

Looking to see if guys like Latimer or Ray have hit their stride yet.

Great to hear that. He's really playing for a PS spot at this time. Or like I told him get on the PS or make some other team notice you to give you a shot. Key is to linger around until that opportunity to see the field arises.

I want to see LS Casey Kreiter, only because he is from Iowa. I might be the most excited person about a long snapper this year. Great kid.

Offensive line and QB are what I'm most curious to see. Run blocking is vital, far more important than pass blocking. Ideally they give our Qbs a fighting chance though, while opening up some big time holes for our boys!

Paxton Lynch and the bootkeep play action. Would like to see him hit at least one 40+ yarder .

Can't wait to see Lynch for the first time in orange and blue. I really should be tempering my expectations, but with Mark Sanchez #1 on the depth chart, it's hard not to get my hopes to high on future Hall-of-Famer Paxton Lynch.

Anyway, just glad football is back. I don't care if it's a meaningless game. Go Broncos!

I am by far most interested to see Paxton Lynch play, as he's the future of the Broncos (hopefully). Sanchez and Simien are merely placeholders. As several have said, it's awesome to have a football game, even if it is pre-season!

Me too. I especially want to see what Stephenson looks like out there. He was pretty terrible in Kansas City, but Elway and Kubiak obviously saw something in him they liked, and I really hope they're right. Dude has plenty of athleticism, for sure.

Also I want to see the rookies as well as Jeff Heuerman (who's practically a rookie since he didn't play at all last year).

I usually don't have the least bit of interest in preseason football (especially in week 1), but there is so much to be excited about and intrigued about with this Broncos team that I'll definitely follow along well into the second half of this game.

With Roberts playing early, Raymond getting first crack at returning, looks like a long shot that Bralon Addison makes it. Early I know, but not a good sign for him.
