Muschamp, McElwain and Mullen were all fired in years they lost to USC. Also, Meyer was the coach before them, they need someone that need to try a new initial.

I've heard Bob Stoops name been mention on one site
I'd think they would take him if big game Bob wanted to do it. Though he is 61.

I would actually also give Mark Stoops a look. Dude's teams consistently outperform their talent level. I'd put him 2nd in SECE behind Kirby.

On edit: edited, meant Mark Stoops, Mike is a bum.

Mullen lost to six games to unranked teams in just four seasons at Florida...
Tell me about it!!! Compare that to Spurrier who was 122-27-1 in 12 seasons at UF. 26 of the 27 games he lost were to teams that ended their seasons in the top 25 team with 14 of those Top 5 teams and 5 were #1. His sole loss to an unranked team was during his last season when he lost to Auburn who ended the season 7-5 and fell out of the ranking after losing their bowl game. The tie was to #4 FSU. He beat 39 teams that ended up ranked including 7 top 5 teams. That's 5.5 ranked team per year (44% of all games were against top 25 teams).

For contrast, OSU has only played 25 Top 5 teams and beaten 7 of them over the past 31 seasons (1990-2020). Spurrier played 21 and beat 7 in just 12 seasons. Since then UF has gone through Ron Zook, Urban Myer, Will Muschamp, Jim McElwain, and Dan Mullen. HELP!!!

He can take his NH Yankee ass to VT, Duke or Syracuse, but he's done for now in the SEC.

Still, a power 5 coach.
