Brandan Wright Trade

The deal went down yesterday. We get Wright and in exchange sent Minnesota's protected first rounder to Boston.

What does Wright bring to the table? He brings some additional size down low, but is he even a good defender? I'm not sure I like giving up a draft pick here.

I almost give up on understanding the protection parameters on draft picks in NBA trades, I feel like I am being subjected to an LSAT question.

It is top 12 protected in 2016 and 2016. It then becomes two second round picks below #17 in 2018 & 2019. It was a pretty good trade. He should supplant plumlee as the second center.

I really like Brandan Wright. He has been exciting to watch and much more productive than I expected. dude can get up too.
