Pretty much all rock music the last 20 years has been awful so cross that shit off the list
There really just isnt that much rock music out there period but whats out there is roughly the same quality it was in the 80s and 90s. Just not in the same volume.

Rock peaked in the 70s, though. Eventually, the bands pretty much did everything so most of it becomes derivative after awhile.

There's some decent bands out there but nothing mainstream and they're not putting some unknown on the superb owl ya know. Plus the game is in Atlanta so it's going to be hip hop/r&b. My guess is Usher/Ludacris combo as they're both from Atlanta

Sounds embarrassing.

My guess is that they are going to do something more 'wife and kids' friendly like Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake's performances.

Maybe but Usher is pretty mainstream and would likely go over well especially in Atlanta. I nailed the pick last year including the Prince bullshit so I'm on a roll lol

I'd love to see Guns N Roses singing "Welcome to the Jungle" and then break out into a rock version of WKRP in Cincy song, below:

I don't want to sound trite but Superb Owl song has to vere from the latest tradition of putting on the pop, so much more jumpy. I would prefer a classic Pink Floyd tune to that garbage they are feeding us!

There is original music today, but very little (rock). It's all been done before. Proof abounds.
Agree with comment about how 70-80s melted together. Between 1965-85 many musicians set the base. A lot of music has been good since then, because they copied the formula.
Rock is rock, pop is pop.

I could totally see 'Another Brick in the Wall' with a bunch of school kid dancers having 'Black Lives Matter' t-shirts going really well with the NFL crowd. Or a rendition of 'Pigs' with the NFL owners and Trump looking like elitist liars.

Thats what Pink Floyd would look like in 2018
