Stouts dominate...you weren't kidding. Some of those looked delicious.

Not a lager in the bunch!

^IKR ... lager is my preferred, but a stout is always nice every once in a while. :suds:

I usually like brown ales and British-style porters more than Stouts. But some days you just need a light, refreshing lager that you can pound about 4 of without any ill effects.

Especially when youse barbecuin. I can't see myself quaffin a 27% barleywine with my ribs.

There are some beers on that list that I would dispute. Since I am from Wisconsin, i'll start there. That particular New Glares offering is not even their best sour, let alone their best beer. Central Waters puts out better beers than New Glarus and would have been a better choice for the list.

Moving to Illinois, I prefer Revolution's Deth's Tar to BCBS, but to each his own I guess.

I have never seen a bottle of Dark Lord, so I can't really comment on that one, but maybe they shouldn't have gone with a one day release beer, 3 Floyd's has a lot of good beers.

For the record, New Hampshire and West Virginia both have lagers as their best beers. Baltic Porters are actually lagers.

Cheerfully amended to: not a PILSNER in the bunch.

New Glarus and "sour" should never be in the same sentence. Those 750's are like Slurpee mix. Yeah Central Waters makes great beer. Their Barrel aged Scotch Ale is ridiculous.

Death's Tar is really good but I have to go with Bourbon County there.

Dark Lord is shit. Sweet syrupy soy sauce. I love big imperial stouts, but Dark Lord just doesn't hold up to the good ones. The barrel aged versions are better, depending on which variant you can get your hands on, if any, but my favorite 3 Floyds beer is Barrel Aged Behemoth Barleywine.

They got the brewery right for Washington but I think Fremont's Bourbon Abominable Winter Ale is better than KDS, their stout. They released a coffee cinnamon version recently that is one of the best beers I've ever had.

Nailed Oregon too IMO. That's a hard state to pin one beer on but Hair of the Dog's Matt is unbelievable. I bought a case last time it was released and have about 6 left. It was only around $300 lol.

I've had 29/50 of those listed, by the way.

Budweiser is the best beer in every state.

A real beer drinker drinks to get drunk, they don't drink for the fucking flavor and tofu used to make the shit.

It was a sad day when wine snobs ventured over to the beer market.

I'll take a Budweiser, a C.C. waterback and a fifth of Cuervo.

If you're drinking a lot of it, assuming you are doing it to get drunk, then why drink a nasty beer? Budweiser tastes like skunk spray...

I haven't had a Budweiser in 10 years.
