Buck just won that game with his late tactical brilliance

He already made the right call with Bud Norris strategically.

But he can also manage small tactics.....amazing manager skills.

He better win manager of the year.

Thanks for the whooping boys. Good luck the rest of the way.

Even as an Orioles fan, part of me has to feel bad for the Tigers... If anything, I expected a series that's more competitive. (Just imagine Ausmus bringing in Alburqurque for Game 2, or either of the borderline calls from today going the other way... and we could be talking about a 5-game series that could go either way.)

Ausmus was just overmatched a bit.

Detroit is very good team, but Buck Showalter was at his best in this series.

I don't think he made any errors at all with pitching changes, defensive adjustments, intentional walk, running, etc....

I hope he keeps up the brilliant management in the next round.

It is very rare to see a manager be the team's Most Valuable Player.

agree, Buck is putting on a clinic of how to manage. Just disappointed, 1st time I have ever rooted for Detroit and they lose all 3 games I am pulling for them...that sucked.

Thanks for polishing up Miller, Os, can we have him back now?

Your bullpen smoked ours. And Nelson Cruz just kills us. Good show and good luck.

Yeah, Miller was a high draft pick and showed nothing more than a high-90s fastball when he pitched for the Tigers briefly. Off-speed pitches weren't good enough for a starter. Made it a bit easy to deal him in the package for Cabrera. Now that he's found his niche as a relief pitcher and developed a viable second pitch, it would be great to get him back. Wonder what kind of $$$ he'll demand in free agency?
