So there is no doubt this guy had been a complete disaster since he was acquired, I wonder how much the opening strikeous he has almost every game affects this team? I'd be willing to bet they haven't scored more then 5 runs in the 1st inning since he has lead off.

.175/.195/.175

Not how you want to start 41 games. M's are 24-17 in his starts. His only two sub .200 avergae innings are 1st (.175) and 6th (.176).

That's fine but he has been terrible since he's been acquired and truthfully I don't care about next year, they had their shot this year and I really feel like he has been one of the main reasons this team is offensively challenged at the moment...

Tigers would have won if he was in center tonight though. The man never dives, ever. (Well, I remember him doing it once.... but he made the catch.). Missed him in the loss tonight.

Hope he gets it going for you guys. Good player, hard working guy. Bad baserunner and shitty leadoff man too.

No prob. Actually the thread made me really look at it and I didn't realize he was that bad to start the game. That is Almonte-esk. Better defense though. I think Geoff Baker tweeted earlier that his mariner numbers are worse than Jones' in leadoff.

I really thought there was no way this trade wouldnt work out because Franklin was never going to be anything here and that Jackson had to be better then the Jones/Almonte combo by default. I guess being a Mariner fan I should have known better. This team seriously cant hit on any kind of trade for a hitter ever. The fail rate is astonishing

Seriously, at least Jones always had the threat, if he got on, to steal a couple of bases.
