My favorite part of when big news drops in sports is the hot takes that come after. The exaggerations, the predictions of calamity or dominance, the unshaking certainty that massive things will happen when in reality these things fade over time.
I mean, have the Chicago Black (White) Sox changed their branding yet?
Kinda like you exaggerating all football season only to have it blow up in yo face.
Even if I did do that (I didn't), that really has nothing to do with this thread or that post.
I thought you aspies were smart
Did everything but. They were white/black...then red white and blue, wore freaking shorts at one point. My favorite part of when big news drops in sports is the hot takes that come after. I remember when we first went into Iraq after 9/11 some goofy sports talk radio guy saying that people would stop using words like "bomb", "blitz", "warrior" because it would hit too close to home. If that ever did happen it only lasted like a week.My favorite part of when big news drops in sports is the hot takes that come after. Really wish one of them would say the only thing they're sorry for is having Mike Fiers as a teammate.https://www.si.com/mlb/2019/11/13/sign-stealing-baseball-history
They cheated, but is this really any worse than any other sign stealing incidents? The way they've handled the criticism is probably worse, though.
We didn't get all of Steve Millers greatest hits on the radio for years though.I remember when we first went into Iraq after 9/11 some goofy sports talk radio guy saying that people would stop using words like "bomb", "blitz", "warrior" because it would hit too close to home. I do think this was worse, because it was systematic, premeditated, involved using advanced technology, and had the entire team management involved. It's not some dude on second noticing what the catcher is doing.https://www.si.com/mlb/2019/11/13/sign-stealing-baseball-history
