With two weeks left, the answer is actually yes. They are technically a legit playoff contender after last night's win.
You know I think about back in that raider game where the refs literally gave the win to the Raiders. Imagine if that game ends with the browns victory, how interesting the playoff race could have been.
well I think that is on the browns. They should have known who they had in Hue. LOLOr if the Browns former HC Hue Jackass knew his kicker was injured to start the season. Had a FG blocked in an OT tie vs. the Steelers in week 1. And missed 2 FG's + 2 PAT's in a 3 point loss to the Saints in week 2.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda though. At least the Browns have shown some signs of life this year.

I put their ceiling at 6 wins this year.
I'm pleasantly surprised they may surpass that.
Next year they will win the division.
just imagine if he didnt blow the 1st pick of the 2nd round and Chadd Scott in the third round. This Browns rookie class is one of the best rookie classes in the NFL in years. I posted in the NFL Draft thread, we currently have 2 of the top 3 OROY candidates and 1 of the top 3 DROY candidates, and that's not including Genard Avery and Antonio Calloway who have been major contributors.
Not only does Baker not look like a bust, he looks like a guy that's maybe a year away from being elite. Since they fired Hue, he's gone 65/88 (74%) for 771 yards, 9 TD, and 1 INT in 3 games.
If Dorsey keeps drafting well, this is going to be a top team very soon. We still need a LT badly, and the defensive backfield could use some upgrades, but otherwise this team has really taken shape.
What makes it worse is that they wasted a pick on him - I think you meant Chad Thomas - when after that the Bengals grabbed Sam Hubbard, who has been a total stud and has the look of a long-time starter/potential Pro Bowler. Corbett could be alright if he ends up becoming a rotational piece at least. They messed up by trying to move him to tackle, but he could be solid guard depth.just imagine if he didnt blow the 1st pick of the 2nd round and Chadd Scott in the third round.
Dont get me wrong--- Dorsey is amazing. The best thing to happen to the Browns in decades- he should win executive of the year
but he did blow taking Corbett at the top of the 2nd round- that was a bad pick. Scott in the 3rd round was a bad pick as well.
But- it doesnt really matter- he went against the grain and took Baker- who would EASILY go #1 again if the draft was re-done today. In a QB rich draft he found and took the best guy- by far. Its amazing.
