Nice of you to leave out 2014. Selective timeline much? What about the 7-1 bowl record last year?
The b1g is skrong
Any of 5 teams from the Big 10 could end undefeated or with 3 losses and still belong in the Top 15

So what you're saying is UCF didn't get a piece of the national championship after all? Are all Knight fans aware of this? One thing for sure. Bama & all of their fans no longer have to worry if they won it outright last year.
This comment is record breaking.
We aren’t talking about Joe Mixon.One-hit wonders
Im not sure what your benchmark is for “meeting the hype”I left it out because that's the last time they lived up to the hype. The last three years, they haven't. That's the whole basis of my argument. But if you want to go further back than where I went, we can.
2014: 4 teams in the preseason top 25, 6-5 in Bowl games, won the National Title (WHOA!)
2013: 5 teams in the preseason top 25, 2-5 in Bowl games, Rose Bowl and Gator Bowl
2012: 5 teams in the preseason top 25, 2-5 in Bowl games, Gator Bowl and Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl
2011: 4 teams in the preseason top 25, 4-6 in Bowl games, won the Sugar bowl
2010: 4 teams in the preseason top 25, 3-5 in Bowl games, won the Sugar bowl
2009: 3 teams in the preseason top 25, 7-0 in Bowl games (WHOA!)
2008: 5 teams in the preseason top 25, 1-6 in Bowl games, won the Outback bowl
So the B1G met the hype once since 2010? Twice in the last 10 years? Is that less selective for you?
12 is too damn high.
Im cozy with 15-20
I doubt it. Early polls don't change much when 2 teams so close to each other play. That said, if UW wins, it will poise them to rise quickly to the top 3.If Washington beats Auburn Sept. 1st then they'll overtake Ohio St. and Wisconsin.
Drop to 5 not a surprise
Overrated: Miami (8), Penn St (10), ND (12), Texas (22), Oregon (24)
I'd miss that avi.Jesus! for the love of God change your avatar or I might start humping your leg.
What's the over/under that at least one Michigan St. player gets busted for r@pe before bowl season starts up?

And the further back you go, yes, the big ten was weak. Since the inception of the playoffs they’ve arguably been the 2nd or 3rd best conference.
The benchmark is like with any sort of hype. The hype here is, just because you have lots of teams in the Preseason top 25, doesn't mean you'll do anything. Someone on here was bragging about how many teams were in the preseason top 25 so I had to bring the facts up.
SEC and ACC are 1 and 2 with the Pac 12 bringing up the rear. B1G gets the tiebreaker over the Big 12 just because they won the title in 2014. But since then, the B1G has been really bad in the playoff the last 3 years and in my opinion, the B1G conference has been the most disappointing conference in the last 3 years.
