He's said multiple times that he thinks football players are a different breed, and that he could never play. That he would get killed.

I've always thought Gates is the best TE I've seen. Gronk is obviously a good choice but Gates is just a hair better for me IMO.

Gonna be interesting in a few years. Gronk will be inducted one year followed by Gates the next and then Whitten maybe the year after that (if he retires again after next season).
