Oh it's more than his career.

Even if he somehow managed to escape criminally he is going to lose everything he owns in civil. It's going to be all about the future the kid had that was taken from him, and they will take that from Tony.

They are already looking for a replacement driver for tomorrow I'm sure. No doubt Nascar is going to announce he is suspended indefinitely from Nascar pending investigation/proceedings and if they don't say it - probably never clear him to race again no matter for psychological reasons.

Nascar is then going to announce a zero tolerance policy for drivers who take out their aggressions on the track and that any driver who does anything remotely close to this will be suspended for awhile. Carl vs Brad, Pit road scraps - gone. Nascar will do it to protect themselves because right now some lawyer is already looking to sue Nascar on top for promoting the WWE atmosphere and actions that reward this type of behavior for ratings.

This is going to be a huge deal.

This definitely hasn't been a good couple of years for Tony. If the guy was killed like some places are saying, I have lost all respect I had for the guy. I don't care how angry you are at another driver, you never should do anything stupid like that. There are some things that he did that I could defend but from what it looks like right now, this is indefensible.

one, drivers are always very alert on track under caution, you dont want to run over a safety worker or a FELLOW DRIVER. second, the drivers at this level have cat like driving reflexes. for those saying the kid was stupid or wondering why he was out of his car in the first place, its very common for drivers that are upset to get out of their cars and point , give the bird, throw a helmet at another driver under caution, its almost tradition like.


here's what MOST LIKELY HAPPENED. tony SAW the kid ranting and raving so he thought he would give the kid a taste of his own medicine. he was going to buzz by the driver to make him jump/ flinch a little bit ( common thing done by drivers for years). well it all went wrong, tony got too CLOSE AND when he gunned it/ hit the throttle he hit the kid and sucked him under the tire. I WOULD BET MY CHECK THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED.


still its going to be hard to proof he did anything on purpose with the vid out right now, however; if there's another video from a different angle it might proof my theory without question.

My guess is that Stewart hires a team of super lawyers and probably doesn't do time, but will never be able to race at a high level again.

Thats what I saw. Tony saw the kid going after him and made an effort to get close.

This goes on a long list of things Tony did that he will ultimately get away with legally, but he still has to live with himself.

Tony will be around as long as sponsors pay for him to be around.

Wow...saw a couple of video versions of this and I don't know if Stewart will do any time in jail but I can't see how he will ever race again...doubtful he intended to hurt him but it could have been avoided.

I don't see how there are going to be any charges but all Tony had to do was let it go and that guy would have been alive today. But he would also have been alive if he didn't walk down the track like that. Just confirms how big of a dirt bag he is.
