Saw him trending and got worried for a second, that being said.

‪Eagles signed WR Alshon Jeffery to a four-year, $52 million deal, per source, that also includes another $1 million per year in incentives.‬ $27M guaranteed. I think he's got the talent for it, but I'd be more comfortable with that 27M being the majority of a 3 year deal, with everything else being bonus if he produces.

Again, I think the guy has the talent to live up to it, and in the past few weeks he's had a better connection with Wentz (even as I post this, I know it's more about the fact they connected on some TD passes), either way, he's the guy that opens it up for everyone else right now. we sold off the entire cast from last year and with the addition of Alshon, said, do better Nelson. And he did.

If only we knew ahead of time that a stern talking to from J. Peters would have done the as well. That being said, he needs to come back around and reiterate what no more misses means.

And with that, a very aside aside, I feel like I just cleared 4 lines on tetris (TETRIS, you ass).

It's roughly half the total so I'd be surprised if that isn't two years.

Good for Alshon. Hopefully he can stay on the field. Health was his biggest demon in Chicago.

Not just missing games either. He NEVER practiced, and starting in camp every year 2014 and on. There wasn't a day he didn't spend on the injury report. He had to be questionable for 75% of games he played in during his time here, outside of 2013. Only year he was legitimately healthy. Even in 2014, it was a week-to-week ordeal.

I always liked the dude a lot. Real humble, blocks well and can be a real force to be reckon with. I think it's just a matter of Wentz and him getting a better rapport here down the stretch, then rolling that into year #2.

Alshon was good going down the middle here, but his bread and butter here was a lot of back shoulder throws down the sideline. For whatever reason, that was the one throw Cutler could REALLY make consistently throughout his career and it was semi-unstoppable when Jeffery was 100%. Not sure if that's being utilized or not.

I like this. But I admit I cringe at all that is guaranteed. I think Alshon has been great and overcome my concern with him (injury time). But while this year has been a great sample size, it has been a small sample size.

If all this continues he is worth it. If not it weighs that much more when we have to give Wentz possibly the biggest QB contract ever in a few years.

With some concern I am just going to trust Howie right now and applaud this.

If you want to win games you better have the horses ... Alshon is a solid #1 who's been developing good chemistry with Wentz as the year has gone on. We now have Carson's two go-to guys locked up (Ertz being the 2nd one). Important signing considering we don't have a 2nd or 3rd round pick to fill holes in the off-season.

I think it is a good signing, all things considered. He is not an elite receiver but he is good and we are paying him the equivalent of TY Hilton, which is not too much for the most recent contract signed, IMO.

Of course, this could look bad if he resumes getting hurt all the time like he did in Chicago.
