Interesting. The OL has no doubt been very disappointing, but this looks a little bit like using him as a scapegoat. Frederick is out and I think Looney has played OK. Williams needs to get better but I'm not sure I can blame the OL coach for that. T Smith has not been good at all (for his elite standard) and his technique has been bad this year. Does a perennial All Pro need an OL coach to teach him proper technique? Collins hasn't stepped forward and maybe regressed. That is one that I think we can blame on the OL Coach. I read a lot of good things about Columbo. So I'm fine with this move and hope everyone else on the staff takes notice. The important thing is we saw things weren't working and made the move instead of waiting. I hope Kellen Moore is on the hot seat right now and both the HC and our 2 coordinators aren't feeling all that comfortable either. The players need to prove themselves every year and the coaches IMO have to step up their game from what I've seen so far this year.
