Series Thread: ALCS: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Cleveland Indians

The Blue Jays are swinging hot bats, but they also just beat up on the 10th and 13th best pitching staffs in the AL (based on team ERA). They were expected to do that. The Red Sox weren't expected to be held to 2.3 runs a game.

No doubt, the Rangers starters just weren't that good, at least for a playoff starting rotation. The Indians rotation is much stronger and their bullpen is too. Ohh and their offense is too lol. I think some think the Indians are just lucky even though just about everyone predicted the Red Sox to win in a short series. Quite honestly, the Indians dominated them in 3 straight. That just doesn't happen overnight. Francona is great at exploiting the little things, baserunning, sacrifice plays, little BP moves (Miller in the 6th and 7th) and the team just seems to rally around him and seems determined, we saw in Boston when he was the manager.

I would expect there to be a lot of opposing fans in the stadiums during this series. It's not that big of a drive from Toronto to Cleveland (and vice versa).

Should be a fun series.

Honestly, if I had to seed the AL playoff teams heading into the postseason, It'd have looked like this:

Blue Jays
Red Sox
Indians
Rangers
Orioles
