If Texas can win two they can party at home.

I just wanna take the time to thank Adrian Beltre for all he's done this year for the team. He's lead the team in DRS at 16 and really made some drastic second half improvements by doubling his walks and driving the ball better. Texas really needed him to step it up, and he did and help set a good example for other folks.

Also thanks to Choo's wife for getting him out of his own head.

And thanks to the Ranger's scouting department for seeing that Sam Dyson would be dynamic if he featured his sinker more.

Should also thank bannister for learning how to manage a bullpen, not telling everyone in the lineup to bunt in the first inning with a man in scoring position, and thank JD for acquiring hamels / fixing the bullpen.

I always find it amusing when people think managers all the sudden "learn" how to win right around the same time they also happen to get an infusion of good players. Banister had nothing to play with at the beginning of the season. His pitching staff was full of injured question marks, unproven rookies, and aging veterans. Sure, he was a new manager, but he's been around the game and wouldn't have been given the chance to run a major league roster if he wasn't a guy who knew how the game was played. Banister's not just some guy Daniels found from the want ads in the local paper.

He's done a hell of a job the whole year--even when he had awful players. He could've easily said, "Oh fuck it. We suck. Let's wait for next year." But he didn't. He kept the guys motivated and did the best he could with what he had. He used the tough times as character building moments. Baseball is such a mental game. I'd say most of a manager's job is to keep the players' heads in the right place psychologically. Banister has done a masterful job with that.

But as the great Winston Wolf said, "Let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet." We still have to clinch.

Not even mad that Pujols scored on that. Josh doesn't make that catch the game is in some trouble.

Pujols looks fat.

He's' been fat for a while now actually. I think he suffers from pretty major plantar fascitis or whatever and that can really limit how much you're on your feet and how much exercise you can do cardio wise.
