A Formal Apology

Hi all,

I would like to formally apologize for my thread. I feared that it may be a problematic way to deal with the situation, and consider my handling of it a failure since I raised the ire of a poster by doing so.

My attempt at peacekeeping actually made things worse.

So again, I am sorry for how I handled the situation. But I will learn from my mistake and do my job better from this point forward.

Wow, DS getting involved in forum drama...this is so out of character for him. I almost feel bad that I missed it.

I also feel out of place not having mod powers outside of the NHL board where I can see the deleted posts/threads.

I would like to clarify something about this apology, in case anyone was wondering.

I actually received no feedback on my original thread from either of the parties concerned. It was other posters on the board who felt it was a poor way to go about handling things. I deleted the thread and wrote the apology because I had adversely affected other board members who were not originally involved, which was exactly the opposite of my goal.

And now you know.

I see no good which can come of leaving this thread open, though.
