Washington needs to call a lot more plays like they did at the end of the half there, Browning looked comfortable and was fantastic on that last drive, putting the ball in great spots to give his receivers a chance to make plays.

For how Washington struggled with several errors early on it must feel really good to only be down by 2 right now

Huskies definitely played better as the half progressed, but there's still a ton of room for improvement. Neither team playing all that great, which I guess is expected for an opening game. Hopefully the Dawgs can make more big plays in the second half. It was nice to see Browning connect on some long passes downfield, even with the Auburn corners all over the Huskies receivers.

I can think of one, the roughing call added on, otherwise all their PIs have been declined. Auburn got 3 points off a late defensive holding call though.

The thing I'm concerned about is halftime adjustments.

Don James was the absolute KING of halftime adjustments. Even games they looked bad in, they came out so often and just dominated second halves.

This staff is so new in terms of play calling at least. I'd have to give an edge to their staff for those adjustments. Also, Auburn dominated both lines at times. If they can scheme it correctly they can get on a real roll in the second.

but no doubt UW shook off that early funk and played much better in the 2nd quarter. Can they match that and keep it going for the FULL second half? We are about to see....

I mean people do get this is game 1 right? And they don't have a 'preseason' like the NFL so none of these teams have been hitting live action until today. No shit both teams look a bit shaky here and there. I mean no fucking shit.
