Most importantly by not getting eliminated in round 1, I think OKC season is offically a success no matter what happens in this series. Anything else from this point on is the icing on the cake
It was already a success.

They finished #1.

Beating the shit out of a Zion-less Pelicans team didn’t move the needle much.

If they beat the Mavs?

Bruh.

They are going to the finals.

*It should be noted that I don’t have them beating the Mavs.

My personal thoughts are about Luka Doncic in this series and his legacy. I keep hearing about how great he is and how much of a generational talent he is but at the end of the day forget the numbers teams are fighting for championships and legacy. Luka has been in the league like 5 or 6 years now and doesn't have much in terms of playoff success or at least come close to a finals appearance. He has Kyrie now whom has championship experience and they are playing a team with a rookie in their lineup. Luka needs to lead this Mavs team to a series win or to me his is just a regular season great player.
Jordan won his 1st chip in his 7th Season.

Who was Luka’s best teammate before Kyrie?

Dr. J didn't win his title until he was 32.

Hakeem didn't win his first title until 31. His 10th year in the league,

MJ didn't win his first title until 27. Took him 7 years to get his first.

Shaq didn't win his first title until 27. His 8th year in the league

LeBron didn't win his first title until 27. His 9th year in the league.

I still think Minny and Denver are the two top teams. Mavs have the best top 2 when they are on. Still not sold on their role players other than PJ.

Also note that I laughed at your prediction but I am obligated to do that to all Mavs picks

See, I’m the opposite.

Wasn’t sold on Minny.

But that was because of KAT’s Clipperesque playoff meltdowns.

Ant being the guy now changes the narrative.

That kid is a DAWG.

Who was Luka’s best teammate before Kyrie?

Who was Jokics best teammate or Giannis? Right now Anthony Edwards seems like he is about to surpass Luka on the totem pole.

So where would we put Luka if he gets beat by another 25 year old who's second best player on the Thunder is a rookie?

See now…

Won’t diminish Luka in any way.

OKC is the better team. I expect them to win.

Luka playing with house money this series. A win can absolutely help his legacy. A loss shouldn’t hurt it unless he plays poorly.

OKC got a lot going for them. And Chet isn’t their 2nd best player.

Chet is their 3rd best player.

Jalen Williams aka J-Dub is their 2nd best player.

still a bunch of kids whom this is their first time playing in the playoffs. Its also not like they were drafted in the later rounds because the team were already good they came from the absolute bottom to the top.

Just admit it. You don't follow the game, you're a casual fan.

The Thunder are an exciting and talented young team who are going to be around for a while.

Every young team has to start somewhere. They beat a Pels team who had a lot more playoff experience with CJ and Ingram. Oh, and Valaciraptor.

To me in my opinion I don't think its ok. I would semi agree if he lost to the Nuggets whom are a veteran team and are the defending champs but not to a crazy young team whom 90% of the players came after Luka and are already surpassing him. A lot of people talk about how MJ didn't win his first ring until his 7th year as if I can't name a hundred great players like Charles Barkley, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady soon to be Damien Lillard etc that never could have made that leap into pure greatness.

Better than what Luka had on his team
