Patriots selected Georgia Tech EDGE Keion White with the No. 46 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

A five-year collegiate player who played tight end as a freshman for Old Dominion, White (6’5/285) transitioned to D as a sophomore and thrived. He recorded a 31.3% pass rush win rate with a superb 90.4 PFF pass rush grade in 2019, both top-15 marks nationally, before jumping over to Georgia Tech to compete in the P5. Though White only logged 72 reps for the previous two years, he returned to top form with 54 tackles, 14 TFL, and 7.5 sacks (5th in ACC). His basketball background shows up in his agility and balance, as White has an unnatural fluidity for a 285-pounder. In addition to his super-heavyweight Edge measurements, the former two-star recruit has premium flexibility for a man his size, explodes into contact and works like a berserker to get off blocks. He backed up the tape by dropping a 98th percentile 4.79s 40-yard dash and a scorching 9.92 RAS that left the Yellowjackets' defensive leader with few peers in terms of raw, untapped potential.

I love the pick. Some had him as a late 1st rounder. Freak of an athlete. If you get a chance to watch his combine tape do it. Even his combine interview is great. Sounds intelligent. Very likable.

2 Outstanding picks for the 'D'

Those 2 should help keep more than few opposing offenses off guard.

Now comes the annual head scratching.

I guess the rest of the NFL isn’t as high on Darnel Washington as some guys on here. 5 TE’s already taken.
I was thinking the same thing. Brenton Strange selected above him. Teams must've found something they didn't like about Washington.

Dawand Jones as well.

I'd like to see BB move up into round 2 for one more pick.

Buffalo making noise.

Jets still being Jets.

Mia did they even bring anyone in to work yesterday?

WTF Bill? A LB?

I'm starting to think there actually is some problems in Foxboro.

Maybe BB really wanted to get rid of Mac and Kraft said no. BB I'll show you by going D,D,D.

Help pad Stevies stats and make him look better.

I've always been a BB supporter but this is pissing me off.

Mapu was a Senior Bowl standout. I think he plays safety. Very undersized for a LB.
Kids got a lot of versatility. A hybrid S/LB. Got good speed and coverage skills. Likely sees most time on STs to he finds his niche.

Good player but we had soooo many other needs.

Maybe we trade a couple of our 4ths to Arizona for one of their 3rds?? They have no 4th round pick.

If not.. we dominate the 4th round with 4 picks. Still a lot of good players.

OK, Bill 4th round all picks go OL and WR.

6th round I want to get P Adam Korsak from Rutgers and FB Hunter Luepke ND state.

We want Nike making the rest of the picks

Thoughts/grade after day 2?

Gonzalez A+ based on value and filling a position of need

White A- based on value, skill set only downfall not really a position of need.

Mapu B- based on versatility and skill set. Had he been the only player selected at a position not really needed, I would've bumped him up.

Overall a good draft so far. BB working on something new defensively? Maybe as he went DDD all with speed and versatility. I think we see a lot of new blitz packages this year. So we have that to look forward to.

Need Oline and WR help with these next 4 picks.

LFG

WTF Day two is waste. No O Line help, no playmakers. Hey Bill the D was not the issue last year, ya dumb fuck. The players he selected are exciting but IMO we had greater needs.

Day 2 C-

Actually I will go with a B-

Lets hope round 4 brings some help to the offense.

Will Mapu become a Safety in our system?

Here is what I would like to see happen.

1. If I am correct DeWand Jones is still on the board. Move up and take him

2. TE: Will Mallory, Josh Whyle and Zack Kuntz are still on the board, on of these is a must we need a TE

3. There are three centers on the board Luke Wypler, Olusegun Olumatimi and Alex Foresyth grab a center hopefully one that can play C and OG.

I know a lot of people think we need a WR I don't see that as being a higher priority.
