2023 Draft Food for Thought

I've had a couple of drafts and was surprised who is being taken in the first round.
Heavy run on QB early with Mahomes, Hurts, Burrow and Allen too.
So I decided to check a few of the redraft league CHAMPIONS from 2022 to see who they were starting in the title game:



No Mahomes.
No Hurts.
No Kelce.
No Justin Jefferson.

I actually won 2 last yr one with Dak/Geno pairing the other with Gardner Minshew (playing for an injured Hurts)/Stafford. .... of course the BUF shorten game had a lot to do with both outcomes. ..... sometimes you just need a little (LOT) luck vs high profile guys.

Hmm no clear recipe. Just a solid team with a top RB and top WR.

My guess is they had good depth and WW pickups bc those teams aren’t stacked. Also a playoff run can do wonders.

I rarely see a team win with a top 4 QB though especially if they spend a 1st on a QB.

alot depends on how they handled the buf/cin game that was postponed
i still believe its a RB 1st rd for the top 5

Kinda crazy how that stuff works. The year Greg the Leg had that insane season he was on 3 of the 6 Championship teams in the leagues I played in.
