Flyers also picked up a 5th to retain some salary in the Hannifin to VGK deal last night. A 5th is probably not going to be a huge impact, but i like Danny using everything as his disposal to acquire assets.

Idk if we'll win the cup this year, but I'd definitely like to start getting these guys a taste for playoff hockey. By the time we're at full force we could possibly be the most dangerous team on the ice for years to come.

This team is so tight and also confident that they look forward to these types of challenges and often perform extremely well against the very best.

I just wish we could've beaten a broken team like the fucking Penqueens in the last couple of outings, but I guess we didn't take it seriously enough.

Huge, clutch win and two points tonight, obviously, but now let's do this against some of our division rivals. This starts March 21st at Carolina and includes six more games after that too. Those are, for the most part, the games we need to win. Fuck getting in via a wild card. We don't want any part of that.

Or maybe we do. Our 1st round opponent would potentially be the Florida Panthers...Lol

100%! Trades are likely done, put everything left in the tank towards a playoff spot, get in and get the young guys a good taste of playoff hockey. Get them hungry.

Allison for Gurianov seems like a change of scenery move for both teams. Probably doesn't move the needle much either way.

Johnson obviously a depth add to make up for Risto/Drysdale injuries and Walker deal. But he's bad. So while I don't really mind moving a low value asset or two to try be as competitive as possible this year, I don't think Johnson is an upgrade. And a 4th is a little more than I meant by 'low value asset'. So I don't like that deal at all. A 4th is not enough to get super worked up over, but I think that's a waste.

It's not a bad move, Allison was never going to make it here long term anyway. Just a depth move, Johnson is more solid than Staal and will drop the mitts.

Unfortunate. But no way they were going to be able to move him at the deadline with him questionable to return for the regular season. No reason for anyone to add him now. We’ll see what happens in the summer.
