You have to give this team credit for its fight. They don't stop or give up. Maybe you do have to wait until the trade deadline or closer to it before doing anything crazy. If anything the players values keep going up with time. Go Flyers!

This is 100% on the money. The hustle they have shown all season is so much fun to watch.

Please let Danny B find a way to get rid of Risto and spread his money around.

This season is going so well we are even winning in shootouts.

Everyone knows how bad we have been in OTs and shootouts in the past.

Also We are actually beating the teams we are supposed to beat. I think we've caught some of the better teams off guard to. We came in as a team in the process of a rebuild, a lot of times teams tend to overlook those games. We seemed to have developed some good chemistry, which I've always said is a important factor, and then Hart has been truly fabulous. That kid Brink is definitely starting to shine.

I can't believe I am saying this, but Risto hasn't looked too bad. That being said, his contract is still a killer. Not sure if you saw the Brink SO goal last night, but it was a thing of beauty. Kid has some skill.

Brink SO goal was a clinic on how to abuse a goalie who tries to stick check you on a breakaway. I love his game because even though hes small he goes to the dirty areas and the puck always finds him.

Risto was one of our best defense men last year and has looked very good this year. I just want him gone to clear his money to split between Walker, Seeler and Brink/Tippett

Not for nothing but Hart gets sick and cant play games a lot. Last night was probably the 6th or 7th time in his career where he was a last minute scratch because he was sick. The trainers need to give him more vitamins or something

Ovechkin looked like he was skating in quicksand all game. He only has 5 goals on the year. I wonder it father time has finally caught up with him.

It really does make sense anyone who will be too old to be here for cup runs needs to be turned into younger better players. At the same time they don't have to give someone away especially if they do make the playoffs. You just never know once you are in the dance especially with the way this team hustles and Hart in net.

Nice seeing Ersson with a shut out kid deserves it.

Numbers don't lie. With 37 points, we are now 5th in the Eastern Conference and none of us thought we would see that this early in the season, this season at the start of the year.

Torts has this team playing tough D. I'll take a D-dominant team before we have an explosive O. We will get there soon.

We finally have a GM with organization skills and a brain that are light years ahead that flippin useful idiot WTFC.

Like Maverick, I am liking what I am seeing and we have two very good goalies for starters. Are we totally there yet? Nope. But we are getting close and that is very reassuring.

We still have holes but if we continue to win and play that Broad Street tough D, I be IN.

What a night that was!! We completely shut down the Detroit Red Wings and while we didn't get enough puck luck to score on Husso, one deflected past Lyon before he went out due to injury and that's all we needed. 1-0 Flyers in regulation time via an own-goal awarded to York. I thought that was one of our best defensive efforts of the season after a game where we left a couple of Caps wide open in front of our net, which led to goals against. We battled back to win that game in the shootout anyway.

As much as I root for Team USA hockey, I love nothing more than to frustrate the fuck out of Patty Kane, who originally should've been our player, but was instead stolen by Chicago (which likely cost us at least one Cup) and so on.

So, Ersson gets the shutout and we have sole possession of second place in the Metro with 37 points.

The Isles, Caps and Pens all lost in regulation last night too, which only helps improve our standing.

Shitsburgh goes down 7-0 to the Leafs, leaving them at 13-13-3 and a shocking 7th in the Metro.

Is this officially rock bottom for our interstate rivals? Is Mike Sullivan going to get shitcanned!? I mean, the Cups he won 6+ years ago don't mean much right now. What have you done for me lately? That team is going absolutely nowhere recently. And yes, I'm fucking loving it!!
