In terms of situations, Pierce with the Texans is likely to get a lot of carries. He has very little real competition.
Tyler Algeier is also in a good situation. I think his competition is Damien Williams? He has only had 1 real season of production as a lead back IIRC.

Pierce has that combination of great talent and great situation. Someone to keep an eye on, for sure

I am just saying that Carroll falls in and out of love with backs like every few games
You must being thinking about the Eagles. Changes at RB with the Seahawks only happen when injury strikes.

Unfortunately the Eagles stick with Miles Sanders even though he has kind of sucked the past two years. I wish they would draft a new back, but they only draft complimentary role players to Sanders.

They signed Mack, who I would assume starts with the job at least? Burkhead will get his share too.

Gainwell looked good at times last year.

He's averaged 5.3 and 5.5 ypc. Yeah it looks like he could be a better pass catcher but that is why Gainwell was brought in. But in terms of running the ball, you cant do much better than that.

Penny was huge down the stretch last year when he took over (except against the Rams); are they really going to just toss him aside?
Idk why you can’t have 2 really good RBs. Especially if one is always injured.

You absolutely can, it just lessens the immediate impact of the draft pick. I just don't see it necessarily as the IDEAL place for Walker to be drafted. To a lesser degree, Singletary had a solid run for the Bills late last year too, and I have no problem with the Bills drafting Cook and they're both great value.

He did, but he doesn't look like a primary back. Too small and runs soft. I think he is a solid third down receiving back though.

Sanders' yards per carry is very deceiving. He does break off some nice runs, which raises his average. But he has many runs, especially on third and short etc, where his lack of power and decisiveness shows. He was pretty disappointing the past few years IMO and I was surprised they didn't draft more competition for him. He had ZERO TDs last season.

Jordan Howard, who is nearly washed, looked better as a between the tackles back when given the chance. Not flashy but he followed his blocks and moved the sticks much more efficiently than Sanders.

Keep in mind that Philly had a pretty good offensive line. If they had a real workhorse back like Jonathan Taylor, he'd put up monster stats behind that line.

Well, yeah, if you can actually find a Jonathan Taylor you should take him. There are only about 5 or 6 guys a decade that good.

Robinson (Texas) and Tucker (Syracuse) could (should?) be at the top of the 2023 class.

Taylor isn’t even the best RB on the Colts now

2nd only to Najee Harris.
Pretty safe bet on him in the 6th round!

How many teams got higher ceiling from the 6th round
Ceiling could be very high. Floor could be very low also. My guess is the medical is questionable. Worth a 6th round gamble for sure.
