Listened to a bit of the US v. Latvia game. Announcer compared him to LeClair.
I'll take that and run with it. John LeClair was basically my idol and favorite player growing up. I obviously couldn't say enough about him, but he was a big, strong, powerful winger that could score the puck in every possible way at an elite level. He scored 50+ goals in 3 straight seasons and 40+ in 5 straight seasons. I wish he had done that for a few more seasons and he'd be in the Hall of Fame, regardless, the Flyers could definitely use a lot of that these days.

Even in today's Nhl where there's a bit of an offensive explosion, only 6 guys are currently on pace for 50+ goals this season. It's still rare.

It seems like every single time we get good news on an injury, it is quickly followed up by some bad news on the same injury. It surely makes you wonder wtf is going on around here...Lol I have to laugh it off or I'll cry.

I'm still waiting to hear that Couturier is out for the season. Perhaps upper management already knows this, they are just spacing out the bad news.

Disney on Ice Sinks the Flyers

The Flyers own a combined record of 3-20-4 in their past seven road trips following the short Christmas pause dating back to 2014-15 season.

I can tolerate another losing season as long as the team is showing energy and effort. I enjoy watching this team even when they lose as they are starting to play like the next couple of years they will be greatly improved. This is the year to stink and get a high draft pick. JVR gone and Ellis on LTIR creates some cap breathing room. Hopefully Cutter can make the jump, Noah Cates, Frost and York are RFA's and should not be too expensive. Bring up a few more young guys and see what happens.

If we can get a good draft pick and some of the youngsters show improvement, we could be sitting in a good spot quicker than we thought. We have more talent on the horizon in college and other places. The biggest part that will suck is Hayes and Ristolinan will have to go, may get lucky with Hayes in a deal but we're definitely probably going to have to eat part of Ristos contract to get rid of him. As long as we can replace him with talent I'm good with that.

Risto is starting to remind me of Andy MacDonald. Will be on the 3rd pair with a giant contract.

Owen Tippett with 11 goals in his 31 games has him on pace for 29.

At 23 years old could he could be a real 30 goal scorer and 65 point guy for a long time.

If he continues to grow, I agree. So far his upside looks good he should shoot a little more. My biggest hope is we can start shedding folks such as Delaurius, Risto,Brown, etc, and start filling those gaps with quality players. I just pray the upper management doesn't leave it in Fletchers hands. You can't give this idiot any blank checks!

I wish upper management could be changed up as well.

Oh yeah i would be happy with this. Boyle had 50 plus points 6 times. You see what we pay our defense who haven't done it once. Fletcher may give him a 20 million a year contract.

Fletcher may not resign him as a RFA as Keith Yandle may want to make a comeback.
