You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.
Wanted to share this thought but didn't know where to put it...
This is as good a place as any since the discussion of rookies gets shifted once we see their landing spot.
This is just a small sample size, mind you.
Alvin Kamara – 2017
Did not seem like a good fit on a pass-first Saints team where incumbent Mark Ingram was already a fixture. On top of that, the year before, Tim Hightower barely had enough scraps/touches in such a high-powered offense.
Justin Jefferson – 2020
Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen were fixtures on a decent offense, despite the critics who did not like Kirk Cousins. Before the draft in March, Diggs was traded to Buffalo. 2019 was Diggs’ best season to date (though it was barely 1100 yards and he failed to crack the top-10 receiving leaders). Thielen and Cousins just had their worst seasons. The Vikings offense was not trending in the right direction.
