I pretty much called Barrett from the get-go but he was showing promise in year 2. His ceiling just seems lower…not sure if it is work ethic or he was just overhyped but he is for sure falling the disappointed category. He could very well turn things around but not counting on it. When the Knicks made that pick they were at least expecting Barrett to be an AS caliber player, whether that was a 2-time AS or 6-time AS.
Not bad policy to project a Duke product will be less than his hype when he gets to the NBA.
Signed,
The Guy Whose Team Drafted Jah Okafor

You are totally full of shit if you think anyone here believes you would do something about it if you were in LeBron’s place.

Out of sight out of mind.

I am 1000% sure you would take the money and not think twice.

But pretty easy to judge someone else.
when I hit the 500 million dollar mark I MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT start feeling bad 9 year old kids work in a sweatshop all day to make my shoes......just a thought. Probably well before that.

Lebrons problem is that he calls out good people in his own country while simultaneously turning a blind eye to real problems elsewhere. To say he wants things his way is a huge understatement.

I call BS on that.

And I doubt he has any real influence on socio political issues in East Asia.

So he does what he can here.

thybulle at 4? Zion still at 1?

when was this done? lol. seems like it was done at the beginning of the season.

if Zion is a lost cause---- and even if he isnt- lets just put him aside since helping the team that actually drafted him, at least this year, looks remote.

1. Ja
2. Garland
3. Herro
4. Thybulle
5. Barrett
6. Hunter

Thybulle is playing 25 minutes a night and averaging 5 points a night and cant shoot. Amazing role player....but Herro and Garland can be actual guys that are built around.

Garland especially carries such a heavy load on any given night. He makes the Cavs go. He is their most important player- right now anyway. Mobley will take that mantle at some point in the future.

Jordan Poole? Think his play this year is warranting of some mention.

I don't like taking the high and mighty road and require all athletes to take a political stance.

BUT....Lebron absolutely has a lot of influence. If he wanted to make some noise, he would 100% be able to. He's that big of a fixture in the public eye.

I'm talking about myself being high and mighty. If an athlete wishes to speak up for their beliefs that's their prerogative, but I don't look negatively either if they shy away from it. That's what I meant.

Shut up and dribble.

Sports are a way to get away from that stuff. Don’t bring it into that arena

LMAO that you think issues here are “fictitious”.

Just because you don’t agree, doesn’t make it fictitious, stupid or any other adjectives you use to describe LeBron’s opinions.

Again, only because you disagree with him and are completely unable to see any other point of view.

Yeah, okay. Thanks for the laugh. And what did he say that was incorrect about DJT? Gotta feeling your answer will be a doozy.

its not just LEBron obviously- Jordan too and many many others

but how can these guys KNOW....KNOW...beyond a shadow of a doubt- that people that make their shoes are in deplorable conditions, and they just dont care. And they make vast sums of money off it.

It's no different with your iPhone, iWatch, and wide screen TV. Plus, what NBA players AREN'T wearing shoes made in the Far East? Just because some guys get bigger lines of merch doesn't make them suddenly responsible. Do you want to take a deep dive into every merch company, media company, and team ownership to see how they manage to provide their huge sums of money?

Bleak work conditions notwithstanding, that employment is still voluntary. Many get food and lodging as part of their employment stint. It's easy to grandstand about conditions in another country. Why do so many lament the loss of coal jobs in this country? Horrible work conditions and huge health risks, but people depend on those jobs nonetheless.
