djoko wins and then goes on to win the Grandslam?

Murray is #2, so he and Nole were going to be on opposite sides anyway.Of course. Got to give Murray every chance.
Even with Lendl back in his corner, Murray would need Nole to have a very off day for Murray to beat him. Assuming Murray makes it to the final.No.
Murray wins Wimby
If Murray wins Sir Sean Connery, Sor Roger Moore and Sir Elton better be there to give him the trophy.
tough 1st round matchups for youngsters
sock vs gulbis
coric vs karlovic
tomic vs verdasco
I think isner vs baghdatis could be really tough for big john. hope he and sock can make it through at least the 1st round, though.
2nd round potentially interesting matches
wawrinka vs del potro
zverev vs youzhny
simon vs dimitrov
monfils vs johnson
3rd round potentially interesting matches
sock vs. raonic
monfils vs dimitrov
cilic vs coric
berdych vs zverev
I don't think any of the young guns wins, though I would like to see Coric step up. Tomic has the best chance against an aging Verdasco. Sock is still just a poser IMO. He is in better physical consition this year but he is still a meathead. Even if he manages to get past Gulbis, He has no chance vs Raonic. He takes too big a backswing on return of serve to even have a chance at getting a ball back.
Wimby is crazy though. Favorites drop like flies. Should be fun now that the practice season is over.
You sound like a knowledgeable tennis fan, and then go full dilettante with the last sentence.I don't think any of the young guns wins, though I would like to see Coric step up. I think this is the Tourney that Thiem makes a big run.
On the womens side it should be Serena versus Muguruza again. Kerbs is coming back from injury and no Azerenka. Weak as usual.

Sock can go through stretches where he makes incomprehensible errors, but he's gotten a lot better over the past year or so. He's also worked on his fitness, and that's helped.Usually when I think of someone as a "meathead", I think of someone who makes a lot of errors?
Do you think that's what Sock is like?

His biggest asset is his topspin forehand, which explodes off the court on hard and (especially) clay. Opponents must feel like they're trying to hit a rock with all of that topspin.
Grass mitigates his biggest weapon, and his serve isn't quite good enough on grass to compensate for his lack of return ability.
It'll be interesting to see if his coaches worked with him on a slice backhand for Wimbledon this year. He'll struggle mightily if he tries to hit his normal flat backhand since the ball bounces so low.
He was able to control a lot of points with that huge topspin forehand on clay.Yeah, I was thinking about his matches at the FO, and he didn't seem to go through those bad stretches.
