I feel like Goff is the best QB and he is someone who knows how to deal with adversity, helping turn Cal's program around.
As a PAC guy, IMO Cal's turnaround is more due to this guy...

Two things that worry me about Goff are One, the fact that he struggled against the better defenses in the PAC and Two, he was playing against HS athletes just 3 seasons ago. Dude's only 21!

As is the case with virtually any top QB draft prospect?

Dykes doesn't turn it around without Goff, imo.

4 INTs in 1 game makes me feel like I just stepped in dog shit

Fisher just needs to stop having the dude attempt 55+ yard field goals at every opportunity in a game.

The psyche of a kicker is so dependent on success that these pie in the sky attempts at every opportunity mid game affect the psyche of a kicker so much, that I believe it translates down to his lower attempts.

Find his sweet spot and range and keep him in there.

If there is an end of game situation that has him attempt a game winner plus 50 than do it then.

Hitting those are great for the psyche, missing mid game attempts are just the opposite, whether they are 40+ or 50+.

:2cents:

I totally agree Vita. And if we had an offense that actually scored TD's instead of always depending on the defense and Zeurlein kicking FG's this kid wouldn't be having his career destroyed like soooo many other Rams players over the past decade.

Shops, show me where virtually any TOP qb draft prospect that, panned out, was actually a true Sophomore when headed to the draft...

I really can't think of one that panned out.

At this point Retro, I'd settle for an offense that got into decent field goal range every now and then.

Well, true sophomores aren't eligible, so...technically, you're correct!

 Stated that wrong....

True 'Junior'....

Can you help me out?

Point is, dude is 21 like I stated before. He had trouble his entire career at Cal vs PAC 12 defenses and just last year had some success under Sonny vs weaker competition.

He still struggled last year vs top PAC defenses and teams that limited his chances with good to great offenses.

It's gotta make you wonder how he will he do vs top NFL defenses? Especially those in the NFC West!

True sophomores aren't eligible for the draft, correct? Goff has played three full seasons at Cal and is a junior.

After visiting the Whiners, Mackenzie Alexander (CB) is visiting the Rams Tuesday.
