Reggie Bush just tweeted that he's considering three teams.

The Patriots are one of the three.

do they really need Bush? They have plenty of RB's. I'd rather see them concentrate on the defense (especially the front and back end now) and o-line.

Bush would be perfect for Brady. He's an upgraded Shane Vereen. Vereen did not have the strength or power to run inside but Bush has a burst and can get through the middle. He also has excellent outside speed. If he's in the $2.5-$4M a year range, I'd sign him in a heartbeat.

Heard late last night that the Patriots are talking to Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton. That followed a report that the Colts have made an offer to Vince Wilfork.

Patriots are also talking to Brandon Browner and have supposedly made him an offer to return.

Nice! My wife has been gone for the week as her family wanted to throw her and the baby a baby shower so I have had the house to myself. Had the great excuse of having to work in order to not have to sit through a stinking baby shower.

Congratulations!!!...Assuming of course the baby is your...Kidding.

Babies are great, baby showers though...much less.

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys might have some competition in keeping LB Rolando McClain.

i

McClain, who was second on the Cowboys in tackles last year according to the coaches’ breakdown, is visiting with the New England Patriots on Monday, according to multiple sources and ESPN Insider Field Yates.

The Cowboys have been in contact with McClain’s agent, Pat Dye, in the offseason about having him return but have not been able to close a deal. McClain faces a four-game fine for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and one more failed test would lead to a four-game suspension.

The Cowboys signed Jasper Brinkley to a two-year, $6 million deal as a free agent earlier in the month as insurance if McClain does not return and that could allow them to move Sean Lee to weakside linebacker.

The Cowboys acquired McClain in a trade last July from the Baltimore Ravens for what turned out to be a sixth-round pick after he met certain conditions of the trade. The Cowboys received the Ravens’ seventh-rounder in return.

McClain missed three games with groin and knee injuries as well as an illness. He was knocked out of the Cowboys’ two playoff games with a concussion.

When he was on the field, however, McClain was the Cowboys’ best playmaker, finishing with 108 tackles, one sack, nine tackles for loss, five quarterback pressures, two interceptions, five pass breakups and a forced fumble.

The Patriots have a need with Dont'a Hightower needing 6-7 months to recover from shoulder surgery.

Like Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, Patriots coach Bill Belichick has a close relationship with Alabama coach Nick Saban, who was on Belichick’s staff with the Cleveland Browns. Saban remains one of McClain’s trusted mentors after a failed run with the Oakland Raiders, who made him the eighth pick of the 2010 draft.

Stevan Ridley was reportedly visiting the NY Jets today and has plans to visit with the Miami Dolphins tomorrow or Saturday. If the Jets really want to steal him from the Patriots they'll make him a huge offer, and overpay so that he doesn't go to Miami.

From my spot here in NH, Ridley is a goner.

I agree, Ridley is gone. Has NE even talked to him? I really think NE makes a play for a RB earlier than most think. Blount is only here 1 more yr. Who knows what happens with Gaffney. Will Gray stay out of BB dog house? Can White handle the 3rd down role? I honestly think there are as man questions with RB after Blount, as there is on the OL and DL. Never thought JG would be taken in the 2nd rd last yr, so anything can surprise me. They are working out RB at Pro Days, so it could happen.

I still think that trade for Haden goes down. Send NE 1st and Amendola, get Haden and Clev 2nd or 3rd rd pick. Seems Clev is about done with JM. IDK......stay tuned!

I hope you're not suggesting they pick up Johnny Fuck Up as part of any trade with Cleveland. :gaah:

I read that very early this morning. His mention of Johnny at the same time he was talking trade with the Pats unnerved me.

LOL. I can totally understand that. :D

LMAO...sorry about that. NO, NO to JM....Yuck. I have been seeing more and more people or tweets saying NE is going to make a move for a CB come draft day. Zo mentioned it also. I think we can get some solid OG/DL/LB in rds 2/3/4 that could step in an play. So I would be good with moving that 1st for Haden.

Is Haden really that good?
We don't get a lot of Cleveland games here in Okinawa. I don't know anything about him.....

IMO, top 5 CB in the mix with Revi$, Sherman, Petterson. Only 25 yrs old, just signed a 5 yr extension worth 65 million I think. Played at Florida, and we know BB loves those Fla guys. As NE cap goes up each yr, I think he is affordable. Plus I think he can be cut after 2017 with no dead money. If you were gonna give Revi$ 3 for 39, why not pay Haden for 5 yrs?

I have been reading. I remember more about him now. This is the 1st "big" free agent I'm thinking positive about.
With his naturals and good coaching, he could be very good. Maybe better than Revis (now), I'm intrigued.
I would give our 1st easily for him. Our 1st is almost a 2nd - such is the luck of a SB champion.....

The Jaguars hosted free-agent center Stefen Wisniewski on a visit on Wednesday, according to a report from the Florida Times-Union.

Wisniewski also recently visited the Patriots, according to NFL.com, with both New England and Jacksonville in need of interior offensive linemen. Wisniewski spent the past four years with the Raiders, appearing in 61 games.

Wisniewski is a OG/C who can really play the line. He's pretty quick and would be a good addition to take over for Connelly. He'd be a good experienced lineman to help Solder too.

I'm not sure if the Pats or the Jags have made him an offer or not. Maybe he and his agent are mulling them over or hoping for something better. They best not wait too long because teams tend to shy away from the OL and DL when the draft gets close. There are more than 1500 college football teams and all them have at least 10 OL. There are a lot of flowers out there just aching to be picked.
