WVU had 2 more football guys enroll safety Daejuan Funderburk and a 4 star running back Donte Thomas-Williams. Williams may redshirt because there are 5 guys who could start or have started in front of him right now. Coaches think Funderburk has a chance to play right away as a 2nd team safety and coverage guy on special teams.

If you are counting, that leaves just a few guys missing but hopefully they arrive soon. WVU had to beat out some good schools to sign these guys.

1. DE Shaquille Reddick –FCS All-American. Trying to graduate on August 3 to transfer from Gardner Webb. It looks like he has already moved to Morgantown but cannot workout with the team yet.

2. CB/S Jaylon Myers – JUCO All-American. (LSU, Georgia, Florida)

3. WR Jacob McCrary (Ohio St., Florida St, Auburn)

4. OL/DL Dontae Angus (Florida, Purdue, Rutgers)

5. OT Justin Scott – JUCO (Washington St., Marshall, Cinci)

I caught a show on ESPN that showed 2 rival high schools that had to merge due to budget cuts in Philadelphia. Angus wanted to get out of Philly with his sights on getting to the NFL like another player who got out of the city and now plays for Minnesota. Angus appeared to be a boy in a man's body. During the show, he walked out on his team and it took the guy he idolized to pay him a visit. The visit was arranged by an assistant coach who personally knew the Viking player. It appeared that Angus got his head back on straight by the end of the season; however, not sure if he will resort back to his old ways.

At the beginning of the show, he had a scholarship from Florida; however, it was pulled by Florida (I believe due to grades). At the end of the show it showed where he had committed to WVU. Hopefully he still has the proper attitude. At the high school level, he is a good player when focused. What that transfers to at the next level, only time will tell.

David Sills who was a longtime USC commit and then decommitted has accepted a offer to WVU. He also held offers from Michigan, Penn St and others.

Nice pick up!

Yeah like 7th grade, Alabama and Auburn had been chasing him recently...Lane Kiffin was going to try to bring him to Bama.

Yeah it seems we are developing a nice little pipeline with them. And you cannot argue with the results, those players come in ready to play.

According to the Metronews article he's never run anything over 4.40 in the 40. A little undersized at 5'10" 160, but with that speed... Very nice. Probably add a few pounds of muscle in the weight room too.

After a seven touchdown performance last week, West Virginia quarterback commit David Sills accounted for four more scores last night, but it wasn't enough as his Eastern Christian Academy (MD) team fell to Trinity (TX), 41-32. Sills completed 17-of-27 passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns, while also running it 11 times for 39 more yards and a score.

Sills accounted for four touchdowns last night.
Down in the Sunshine State, wide receiver commits Kahlil Lewis and Jovon Durante were once again the stars of the night for Miramar (FL) in a win over Delray American Heritage (FL). Durante got things started, making an 11-yard grab in the back corner of the end zone in the first quarter. Just before halftime, the Patriots' quarterback lofted one up and Lewis hauled it in, zig-zagged past a couple of defenders, and found the end zone for a 56-yard touchdown and a 14-0 lead. That would prove to be the game winner, as safety commit, Kendrell McFadden, and the rest of the Miramar defense held American Heritage to only one score in a 14-7 win.
For the second weekend in a row, running back commitment William Cameron displayed his versatility in a win for Southern Durham (NC). One week after making two catches for 72 yards and a touchdown, Cameron caught five more passes for 74 yards in a 16-13 win over Hillside (NC).
A little closer to home, Martinsburg (WV) got off to a strong start to their season, with a 24-7 win over H.D. Wodson (DC). While official game stats are still coming in, West Virginia commit Deamonte Lindsay did put the Bulldogs on the board first with a 21-yard touchdown run in the first half.

Plenty of opportunity for a guy who can make the critical catch at WVU.
