The Mets have until this Friday to exchange salary demands with Daniel Murphy, Ike Davis, Bobby Parnell, Dillon Gee, Eric Young Jr., Lucas Duda and Ruben Tejada, all of whom were tendered contracts for next season.
In the event the team and player do not agree on a 2014 salary, the dispute is handled by an arbitrator, who will choose between the two sides. The player and team can still negotiate a deal after agreeing to go to arbitration.

Better get them done before it heads to arbitration.

Seems to me Murph, EY, Bobby P. and Gee are the one's earmarked for nice raises via arbitration....while Ike,Duda and Tejada are likely to remain pat or get awarded small increases. Unless they all agree to contracts before friday.
And fwiw..... I'm cool with all that.

The Mets signed Eric Young Jr. to a one-year, $1.85 million deal (Sherman).

Awesome!!

The Mets and Ike Davis have avoided arbitration with a one-year deal, worth $3.5 million (Sherman).

Time to prove your worth, Ike!
