Murphy 4-8 vs. Tron....overall Mutts hitting .200 against him.

Posey .400, Panda .300 vs. Niese; oddly Uggla hitting .303 vs. him as well.

Mutt those mutting mutts.....5-3 good guys.

Vogey's quote : After being asked by Bochy how he felt in the 9th, " I'm tired as hell, but there's no way I'm coming out of this game!"

Vogelsong takes a bite out of the big Apple Mets winning 5-1

It's New York where the lights shine bright and tonight it was Ryan Vogelsong who shined brightest.

Vogelsong dominated throwing a complete game 1 ER victory. It was his first 9 inning complete game of his career and boy did he want this win tonight. He was staying in until the end and finished it off giving the bullpen a extra day off which could be huge down the line on this road trip.

Pence had the big hit a 2 run triple and ended up with 3 RBI's. Crawford went 3-4 with a RBI and the rookie Duffy had his first hit a single and a RBI late in the game to put the Giants ahead 5-0. The game ended 5-1 and it was a solid win.

Tonight the General deserved a 21 gun salute for his pitching victory.

Go Giants !!

No hitter still in play!

And a nice SDI to boot...where's Stokesy?
5 mile walk?

102 PC for Vogey. That's impressive.

Oh and 4-1 cubbies, 3rd inn.

Ryu and Beckett for the next two vs Chubbs, then 4 vs. the Angels (2 and 2). Meanwhile, we have 3 more in NYC and 3 in Milwaukee.

Peavy v. DeGrom (on a four game roll)
Bum v. Colon (having a decent year)
Huddy v. Gee (struggling)

Went to the game last night. Voggy was dominant. Probably more than most realize. He was throwing strikes and that really helped. A lot of 1st pitch strikes. They couldn't sit back and wait on him. I wouldn't say his stuff was electric but he had them off balance most of the night. Duffy got his first hit but hit the ball hard all night long. They also seemed to have the cluster-luck back in form. Seemed that they gott their hits in bunches. Only 1 bad-luck pitch by Voggy and that was hit out by Duda but he had to reach for it and hit it out to the opposite field. More props to Duda than it being on Voggy. Great night for the Giants

It sounded pretty silent at the yard, what did it seem like to you?

Very strange indeed! I'd say it was split 50-50 Met and Giant fans. The cheering was split between teams and so it always sounded muffled or low. The weather was also questionable (rain) all day yesterday. I think that kept down the crowds. It drizzled a little but never rained. Couldn't believe the number of Giant shirts. My biggest surprise was someone wearing a Morse shirt. The most common shirt is LINCECUM. Expected though. Everyonce in a while you'd see a Clark (Will 22) shirt. Now that Cain is expected to be out for the rest of the season we need Voggy to pitch like he did last night.
