Current chance to win lottery:

Milwaukee - 25%
Philly - 19.9%
Orlando 15.6%
Sacramento - 11.9%
LAKERS - 8.8%
Utah - 6.3%
Boston - 4.3%
Cleveland - 2.8%

These are our closest competitors. Let me be the first to say I HATE being in this position. I'd rather be looking at playoff rankings but lets be honest, it aint gonna happen. So we might as well look at our chances in next years draft.

I don't see us beating Milwaukee and Philly in this race but Sacramento and Orlando could be in reach!

I don't think we'll catch the bottom 3 but we'll just keep shuffling spots with Sac, Boston, Utah, and Cleveland. I could see Sac winning more games. They're much better offensively since the Gay trade and do pretty well with him, Thomas, and Cousins. They just need to play better defense. So I think they'll fall. Boston could get a lot worse too depending on trades. LA could win games too depending on which players come back from injury. So yeah, Kobe, take your time bud.

It's going to be a nail bitter every night to see where we could possibly land in the draft.

Oh, I remember a similar time back in the early seventies before we landed Lewis Alcindor (Kareem)and then got a guy named Earvin Johnson in 1979. A lot of those years were like this year.

Very true, Retro. I remember those times well, which is what still gives me hope for a new, future super team!!

Now, back to our regular programming.

It has come to this. I've been an advocate for getting in the lottery since the summer so I'm all for it. I'm pretty sure we'll catch the Kings. As for the other 3, it'll be a tight race

The Sixers and Bucks have mailed it in. No catching them. The last place spot in the West is certainly attainable. At best, the Lakers end up with the third worst record.

Still waiting for Pau to be shipped away. The GMs will be doing a lot of talking this weekend.

Lose against OKC tonight and the Lakers will share the worst record in the west with Sacramento.

I sit the fence on Pau. On the one hand, he is the Lakers most tradeable asset. On the other hand, before this latest injury he had figured out his role in the offense and was playing like the Pau of a few years ago.

If the Lakers can get something solid for him, then go ahead and trade him. If not, then I have no issue with the Lakers re-signing him for a couple of seasons for something in the $8-$10 million per year range.

lol, it sucks ass, but what're ya gonna do...?

now, let's get Imbiid. no matter WHAT it takes...

I would love Embiid. Only problem is
1. Milwaukee will want him too and has better odds at the number one pick and
2. He might not be ready yet/ injury prone.
